CookieKeeper has a somewhat confusing user interface. In one window you can select to protect cookies, but another window requires you to exactly type in web sites that are to be protected (or blocked), and does not show the ones already designated as protected. Leaving aside the exact address window, which appears to be useless, the add-on is great.
Это отзыв для предыдущей версии этого дополнения (1.8.5.1-signed.1-let-fixed).You are confuse with the cookies protection (which are not deleted by cookiekeeper clean functions), and the website permissions, managed by Firefox itself, which allow or deny a particular website to store cookies.
Anyway, with the version 1.9, you can change the permissions easily as well.

Quite excellent! Does EVERYTHING I want and does it perfectly. And most of all, thanks so much for the Pale Moon support, it's great even seeing the Pale Moon logo in the CookieKeeper Interface.
This is the FIRST review I've ever posted for any add-on but felt I just had to express my appreciation for your support of the Pale Moon browser which I cannot do without (the only browser I've used that I have zero complaints for after using IE, FF and Chrome in the past and the support is far better than any of the others as well).
The absolute best Cookie manager available that I've tried!!! I wouldn't change a thing.

Плагин, конечно, не ужасный но в большинстве не нужный. Но все же спасибо за него разработчикам.

Cookie Keeper is the basis of the first cookie manager to provide the most vital 3 basic features everyone needs to protect privacy. Only 1 small enhancement remains, to make this 1,000 Stars!
Currently, a Left click on the drop arrow menu does the same thing as left click on the icon.
Please optimize the UI for this excellent refinement and enhancement of Cookie Culler 1.4 so that left click on the icon will Delete All Cookies (except Protected, of course). Having a left-click on both icon and drop menu perform the same function is redundant especially when what is really needed above all is to have a button to delete all cookies with a single left click.
All Firefox cookie managers so far have failed to provide the 3 minimum features everyone needs. CookieKeeper is the first to get this close... I have tried them all.
1. be able to protect specific cookies, not just by site but BY SITE AND FUNCTION. You have this!
2. retain only user specified Protected Cookies in between Firefox restarts. Yes!
3. Optimized basic UI so that a simple single left click on the icon Deletes all cookies except protected... Important!!
This is the most logical use of Defaults for an Addon with this function since it should be the most frequently used function. Cookies need to be removed OFTEN. Cookies need to be enabled long enough to have everything work then they need to be deleted. I have other Addons that will do this but they do not honor cookies protected with Cookie Culler or CookieKeeper. Those 2 functions must be present in one Addon. Yours has everything except an ergonomic 1 click design for deleting cookies.
Alternatively, should others disagree, the left click function should be user selectable and one option should be as I have described (see options for Firefox Addon Complete YouTube Saver for an example of user configuration of menus)
SO, once Options are set, and Protected Cookies are set, the drop-menu is easily accessed with a single left click AND, about a 100 times a session, all I have to do is left click the main button!!! Yes!! And all those corporate tracking web barnacles are ejected toast! Right out of the Cookiesphere!
With Cookie Culler, I have to click TWICE to Delete all but unprotected cookies, which, done often, becomes drudgery.
Right now, with CookieKeeper I have to Left Click, Drag, and divert attention to the menu long enough to release the mouse on the 3rd menu line, which is a tedious unnecessarily repetitious distraction. This is a simple idea. Having to use so many words to describe it makes it seem cumbersome.
Please make a Left Click on the icon Delete All Cookies except Protected Cookies.
A click on the drop-menu should open the menu as it does now. Your ordering for your menu options is good and needs no change. (unless you remove Delete all cookies from the menu as redundant, but I might leave it as is for drop-list addicts)
The fact that both left and right clicks do the same thing is also perhaps encouraging in that probably you would make this change soon anyway. : )
Congratulations. The bases are loaded, it's a sell out crowd. They're beginning to chant....
A little voice reaches out... I can do this... The pitcher winds up... it's over the plate... it's a great swing!
It's gone! (WTF? I don't even like organized sports - maybe its the Chemtrails, or the Fluoride...)
NOTE: I would have emailed you this review-suggestion but I do not use Gobble mail.
Also, A shortcut key would be useful but that has to be user configurable so as not to interfere with existing key definitions and that is much less of a priority. Thank You!

i hope the develper isnt finished with this addon because here is a solid foundation for what could be an amazing cookie addon. one glaring oversight is when selecting to Show cookies, it would make sense if the cookiekeeper window show cookies for the current site, instead of having to first manually copy the domain and paste it into the filter box. Aside from that, and few other bugs, i like the feature set. with some work this is one addon that could standout from the rest.

The screenshots/options shown aren't available in XP. Only options are to allow/disallow everything. No option to allow certain cookies. I was only able to change the setting to disallow all third party cookies, which may help a bit but I was looking forward to more options.
Это отзыв для предыдущей версии этого дополнения (1.8.5.1-signed.1-let-fixed).Sorry I don't have Windows XP anymore. But it should have the same options. Can you send me a screen-shot to the support email ? I will try to fix that problem as soon as possible.
Thank you.

I love it, it's easy to whitelist websites and it does its job.
It even allows you to turn session cookies into normal ones, which can be nice to keep website preferences (wide videos on YouTube for example).

Nice Plugin, but I had to uninstall because it was causing a plugin install request loop on a banking website that I use.
More info sent via the support channel.
Update:
Yvon confirmed my problem and came up with a work-around which resolved the issue I was having. Glad to be using this addon again.

Snooping by government agencies is bad enough - but tawdry advertising cookies are no better and are now endemic. This CookieKeeper add-on really shows just how bad things have become, and hands back some privacy control to internet users.
After experiencing recent problems with eBay pages freezing and slowing down, I suspected that cookie saturation might be the cause. I installed CookieKeeper, deleted all my cookies, then went straight to MyeBay page. I checked the cookie list again and discovered - to my amazement - that more than 90 cookies had been reinstalled, all by virtue of visiting one single website.
Just a handful of these cookies included the word "ebay". All the rest were unwanted advertising snoopers, which I've now blocked. Problem solved.
So I now regularly monitor my cookie list and permanently block any that do not contain the name of the visited website. The facility to allow cookies for the session only is also a useful feature.
CookieKeeper is brilliant. I bet those advertising stalkers hate it!

I'd give this 10 stars if I could - an excellent, essential tool for privacy and development. I'm especially pleased that now it supports HTML5 storage in addition to cookies.

Very useful extension to keep only desired cookies and delete all unwanted ones when closing or restarting Firefox.
I'd like to ask something as a possible new feature. Firefox Cookies Exceptions are only for session time. Could you add a CookieKeeper list that would populate this FF session list at each start to somehow make it permanent in FF ? Or find a way to block in real time predefined cookies.
Thanks / Merci
Hi,
Thank you for your review.
I don't really understand what do you mean by "Firefox Cookies Exceptions are only for session time".
Do you mean the permissions? (CK Preferences->Permissions tab, or FFx preferences -> Privacy -> Exceptions). Theses permissions are not for the sessions, they are permanent. You can add/change/remove permissions for a domain using the context menu (right click), on a cookie.
Can you sent me an e-mail to cookiekeeper.addon@gmail.com with more details of your need ?
Thank you.

with 1.8.1. Unprotected Cookies are deleted after closing Firefox... BUT it still appears in "CookieKeeper cookies's tab" and "CookieKeeper unprotected cookies's tab" (sorry for bad english.. i'm french ... 50% bad teacher - 50% bad student)

It does not delete unprotected cookies after closing FF.
Это отзыв для предыдущей версии этого дополнения (1.8.1.1-signed).Hi,
have you check the options in the CookieKeeper preferences "Clear unwanted cookies at exit" ?

CookieKeeper is an excellent extension for managing, well yes..., browser cookies! Everything missing from the old 'CookieCuller' can be found in 'CookieKeeper. The Export/Import functionality is a real plus.
Last but certainly not least is recent fix/support for the Pale Moon browser. Thanks very much, Dev, for that addition to CookieKeeper.

Excellent, just what I was looking for. Keeps the good, deletes the rest. Does what it says it will and although very easy to use, has many options.

Thank you for this add-on.

Recently installed this addon. Goal was to save only a few cookies and delete all others on exiting the browser. It was a little confusing setting the configurations for the addon and also confusing that certain Firefox cookie settings had to be changed. But once accepting that this is how this addon works, the changes were made and it works great. Maybe a tutorial for doing certain tasks would be helpful. Thanks

All I need is a way to keep ONE cookie I need permanently to identify myself to a paid website. I want to accept all cookies automatically for the current session, without having pop-ups ask my permission UNLESS I put the site on a blacklist. Otherwise I want to delete all cookies on exiting Firefox EXCEPT the one that must remain intact and inviolable. Otherwise I want to forget about cookies.
Why is this so hard?

UPDATE Sept. 2015: I was wrong! (But where is the help file that tells me what to do?). I get exactly what I asked for by going to CookieKeeper Preferences, selecting the Firefox sub-menu, checking "Clear history when Firefox closes" and under "Accept Policy" selecting "Allow all cookies (default)" and under Lifetime Policy "Accept normally (default)". Then of course protect the cookies I want to keep when on their sites. Apparently I had selected "Ask before accepting" under Lifetime Policy -- who knew? I'm glad I looked again.
