Hi
Very useful addon !
some remarks and wishes:
- confirmation box does appear even when the corresponding option checkbox is settled
- a debug status box open after, as well
a wish :
- it happens often that the name of the images are meaningless, and giving it by hand is painful if alot of pages are to be treated. Then, i propose an additional option that permit to use the webadress as name for the image, or the last part of this adress.
This option will be greatly appreciated, thanks !

Can someone teach me how to use the auto open/ save selected links function?
I presume that I select a couple of image links, choose that option and it should automatic open the links in new tabs and save the images according to the limits I set?
I did that and nothing happens. Anyone can help?

If I selected and wanted to save a range of images but they're hot linked WITHOUT link (like [img][/img] code in forums). It seems Save Images cannot save them directly?

Works as expected, very handy!
"guest" (jan 16, 2010) has no idea what he is talking about, if he bothered to look at the options his complaint could be solved in seconds.

USELESS NOW - with former versions you could save images with just one mouseclick.
NOW you have to hassle with an annoying constantly popping up dialog asking you if you want to save x images.
saving images is NOW a hassle of neverending "click and confirm" dialog

I use this add-on to download the images, bigger than a sizes I configured, in a group of tabs. Since version 0.5.2 I don't like to have a dialog asking me if I want to save x images wich size is unknow when I configured to omit this kind of images

A must have add on. though version 0.6.3. The auto open and save feature is especially great and and necessary. The ability to set min. and max image size along with file size is very useful in only getting the image you want on a page.

Great Add-on!

The add-on says "Save Images saves the images from the current tab page, from the cache, to a specified location, with either the images original file name or a file name that you specify". Both these statements are false. No matter how much you customize its settings, neither it makes use of the already cached images (it downloads them again when saving) nor can it save the images with original file name (yes, I changed that setting but it still doesn't keep the original name). The renaming problem is not a big one for me, but owing to a slow connection, I'd have preferred it to just copy the image (loaded already on the web page) from cache/RAM to the desired location when asked to save. That's what it promises to do anyway. But whenever I save an image, it starts downloading it again, and doesn't make use of the cached image. I kind of hate applications that tell me lies.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.6.3).I have never had a problem saving from the cache. Possibly you do not have the cache set up correctly in Firefox. Please send a list of your options for Save Images and a more detailed description of your problems with the naming of files to plashcor@gmail.com.

Scroll down to the bottom of the Save Images page and download the 0.63 version and install manually (drag and drop into Firefox). The reviewers have not release the updated version to the public.
