Great addon! It removes grey address fields in compose message window.

I very much appreciate this add-on, and even with a small bug found, I'll continue to use it for as long as I can.

The bug: version 1.0.3.0 of this plugin with current Thunderbird (31+), prevents large image resizing to fit the preview window-pane. So if someone sends you an image larger than can be viewed in Thunderbird, you'll have to save the file and resize it using your image viewer/editor.

Quite old review, but for the reference: this should be fixed in 1.1+.

Without doubt one of the best complete themes!

Thank you VERY much for the work!

Great addon, please an update for the new thunderbird 31
Tried to modify the install.rdf but doesn't work.
Thanks

For me bumping the version worked. Note that Ignore Aero consists of two parts, and one common manifest. Thus, you need to bump the version in three different files (one for the hook, one for the theme and one for the bundle).

But you should not need to care for that, as I bumped the compatibility some seconds ago :)

Feel free to contact me directly (eMail is in the sidebar) if that did not work.

With this theme thunderbird looks much better and gets a better usability.
But there is an incompatibility with "Hide C. Titlebar Plus Lite" - together wit this add-on no more windows controls (close, maximize or restore, minimize) are seen.
5 stars in spite of this incompatibility but sorry to say, but as long as this incompatibility exists, "Hide C...." is more important for me - I hate this useless bulky caption titlebar bar ...

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.3.0).

I know that it doesn't help you, but I'd assume that the incompatibility comes from both Ignore Aero and the add-on you mentioned messing with the main window. Mozilla doesn't allow themes to style the title bar, so Ignore Aero has to force some values there.

Note that it is probably not possible to fix the issue without breaking the style of this theme for all other users, so I won't do anything about it for now. You could, however, probably fix the issue by yourself through an userChrome.css sheet. I don't have the time to create you one, though.

And a general sidenote: reviews are not for bug reports, use the support-eMail-Address for that. Thanks!

Great ad-ons and very helpful person.
Thanks for your support. Everything works just the way I wanted it to.

Finally a normal window frame.

I hope this stupid design trend comes to an end soon,

I just want to say that Thunderbird is unusable without the elegance of this add-on. This should be the default theme on Windows computers! If I had any say in Thunderbird's future this would be the first change I would make.

After installing the new update, the background color of the folder pane changed from white to grey. The right-hand pane did not change and is still white. How can I set the folder pane back to the original default and why not just honor the original setting?

edit: Thanks for the heads-up. Will try to remember using eMail next time. I'm pleased to see you are still updating this addon. BTW, managed to get back what I had before with:

/* Folderpane & Messagepane (white) */
treechildren {
background-color: #FFFFFF !important; }

I am aware of the background change on the folder panel on the left, and plan to fix that (along with the margins there) once I find time for an update. I'm quite happy I was able to provide an update for TB 24 at all, as my time is rather limited currently. Note that the current background (which is not gray, but a noisy pattern) is the new original default ;)

Please note that you can always send eMails for bug reports, and do not need to use the rating feature for that.

Thank you for taking the time to code this. Your add-on has liberated my UI, removing the Aero cruft and restoring my love of Thunderbird.

This should be the default look for Thunderbird.

Thanks for fixing the RSS issue.

A almost perfect theme. The only problem I have found is with the quick filter toggle icon - I use text only, and it does not show up properly. Otherwise, superb!

My default theme until TB 17.0 update. Can't wait until TB17.0 support is restored.

mail.tabs.drawInTitlebar=false seems to be what you search for?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.0.2.0).

Sadly a theme cannot set this config, as it cannot deliver prefs nor inject scripts. Or is there a way I missed?However I use that config personally for now, I have a version ready with all other issues fixed :(

Edit: Fixed now, downloadable via changelog and after review.

Not really compatible with TB13. Every time I start TB13 I have to reload Ignore Aero. Otherwise TB claims Ignore Aero isn't compatible with TB13.

Please contact me via eMail, as the rating feature is not made to discuss bugs. Did you try a clean Profile?

It is quite good. Unfortunately it doesn't support any 'old' Lightning icon. So when you are in the "Mail" tab you have the good old icons, while moving to "Calendar" tab you have the new standard (native) theme icons.

I've used this theme for some time and I like it. I'm holding back on upgrading to TB13 in the hope that the theme will be made compatible soon.

Now working perfectly with TB13 (see developer's comment below). Many thanks.

Done - check for add-on updates and you should be able to update to TB 13 without getting the theme changed :)
