I am a Computer Consultant/Project Manager that needs to access multiple peoples calendars for scheduling meetings, events, etc. This tool provides an excellent method for doing just that.

However, when I add a "New Calendar" entry, it would be nice somewhere within the wizard to be able to select a date range, or a predefined calendar range such as:

1 month
3 months
6 months
1 year
Forever
Current

When I sync for the first time, I am not interested in calendar entries from 4 or 5 years ago. I may only be interested in just a few months and then continue on until I delete the calendar at the end of my assignments.

Just a thought that might help in the amount of sync time and resources.

seit Ewigkeiten ohne Probleme und nun ist es nicht mehr kompatibel , bitte schnell fixen, das Add-on ist einfach ohne wirkliche Alternative

Contrary to Anon.426068's assertion, this plugin works perfectly with the current release version of Thunderbird. It's only the latest BETA version that it isn't yet compatible with. Only beta users will be impacted, which is what happens when you're on beta.

Aside from that, it mostly does an excellent job of syncing multiple Google calendars without many problems. Google doesn't support canceled events, and this plugin doesn't have any kind of "fake" support, so canceled events just disappear. The only other problem is that it seems to stop syncing after the PC goes to sleep.

But aside from those minor things, I literally could not live without this plugin in my day-to-day work anymore, now that I need a mobile sync. It's the most important plugin I have.

I've used this add-on for at least 10 years now and it has always worked great. But it is not compatible with the latest versions of Thunderbird which is a real downer. I've recently run into issues with Google and connecting via IMAP, Google seems to require a more recent version of Thunderbird in order to connect, so no option to go back to a later version if I actually want to use my email. Hopefully the developer will update the add-on soon so it can be run with the newer versions.

My school uses 2 part authentication with DUO and when the Provider for Google Calendar trys to login, it shows the login screen, but then fails to allow the page to send the request to my phone. The page aborts (I think, I can't see, but have sent some error messages and screens) and then nothing happens.
So basically my calendar is now offline. If I use iCal I can see any changes I make through the Google calendar interface, but I cannot make any changes through the Thunderbird calendar interface, PLEASE fix.

Was very easy to set up and displayed exactly what I needed - Thank you! It would be nice if it could show the colours of events as set up in Google Calendar though. It reset all my calendar colours :(

Too many issues. Caldav works better than anything now anyway. Don't bother with addons. They aren't necessary anymore. Google how to make it work. It's stable and works flawlessly for both your personal calendars and shared. Tip: Simply add each calendars Caldav address and sign into your OWN account each calendar is shared with. VOILA! They all show up and sync without fanfare.

Since todays update you can not send an email invite to the person your are scheduling any longer, Not sure if it is a glitch but please take a look at it

Hi,
I have two Google accounts. When trying to add callendars from first account TB shows me the list with callendars from second account. No way to choose from the callendars which I have in my first account, How come?
This is from +/- 2-3 weeks. Earlier I had added callendars properly from both accounts.

Ok, solved:
I had opposite situation as "okolle" wrote at May the 5th: I added my callendars writing e-mail ...@googlemail.com instead my regular ...@gmail.com. This caused that TB displayed the window with request to allow the access to Google callendars.

Seems earlier the window displayed itself but I was out of office during whole week. So I didn't confirm in this window. Probably TB understood I don't allow.

Is there any possibility to force the TB to change the decission? How to make the TB to display the dialog window with the request of access to Google callendars???
It is necessary for example in case when I want to change my decission - it is important for safety!

The regular google calendar is no longer displayed in the selection list,
Only the "other calendars" on the account. What's wrong here

I fail to understand the need for this. Lightning already syncs with Google calendars. I've bee using Lightning for years and never needed this addon for Lightning to sync with Google calendars.

I have a very long history of using this add, and then disabling it. It is very useful but it duplicates the resource usage of TB (for example, from about 0.1% CPU-155 MB Ram when syncing to more than 8% CPU-240 MB Ram). When starting TB at the beginning of the session CPU and RAM usage can peak until freezing for a while. Diminishing high-resource consumption will really improve the usability of the app.

Super Annoying!! I have tried the workaround by Nighhawk and it does not work on this release. Should I downgrade TB???? So I can see the calendar but I cannot create or modify and events or tasks

For a domain that use google interface whereby autentication is outside on a Shibboleth server, the authentication windows killed with no time to complete entering a word.

I use this add-on for many of my google calendars.

Google is changing things on their side of the network making t difficult for the end users. NightHawk (kudos to you!), has found a workaround using the oath passwords saved within TB. follow his instructions and it will work. I use 10 different calendars within google.

Here is the instructions by NightHawk:

Open TB. You will get a popup for each Google Account associated with the calendars you have. Pay close attention to the account name and authorise only the first pop-up, then CLOSE the rest, and close TB again. Repeat this process for each Google Account until all are authorized

For me it stopped working as well, as is the case for many users from around the end of april.

I tried the solution from Nighthawk from April the 27th, didn't work, then I tried the solution from Salvador Pérez from the 7th of May, which didn't work either.

What I finally did was to first remove the OAuth token as Salvador Pérez suggested, then, after opening TB, the Google Login window would popup but not present the login form but instead the warning, that I need to enable cookies. If you see that error as well, then go to TB -> Preferences -> Preferences -> Privacy, under "Web Content" enable "Accept cookies from sites" and change the "Accept third-party cookies" dropdown to "Never".

Then quit TB, start it again and you should be presented with Google's login form. Just enter your credentials and it should work then. For me at least, it did.

I'm running TB 45.8.0 on Linux Mint 16.0 (Ubuntu 14.04.1), Plugin version is 3.3.

I was stuck in the google's login window (when I pushed the Next button nothing happened). I tried the workaround from Nighthawk, yet no change. However, my last resource was to go to:

Add-ons Manager -> Extensions -> Provider for Google Calendar (More) -> Home page (follow the link) -> Add to Thunderbird button.

This reinstalled the plugin and then I was able to complete the google's login process again for all my accounts.

I hope this comment helps somebody.

Worked great for years till the latest update and made me miss 2 appts which cost me money. Just going to rely on the Windows calendar from now on unless this fixes itself.
