Download them all is a convenient and simple tool that downloads any or every file on a website. Finally, there is an add-on that will allow me to save all my Picasa and Shutterfly web albums to my computer with a single click.

Overall good add-on, but lately serious issues with how Firefox manages RAM. After a few minutes of browsing and multiple open tabs, this add-on restricts Firefox access to RAM and keeps it lingering around 200MB. I have confirmed this by deactivating most other add-ons. After deactivating/unistalling Downthemall, the issue gets solved. The nightly version doesn't suffer from this problem.
No matter how much I like this add-on, cannot give it a passing mark until this is fixed.

This is simply the best download manager for firefox, no ANY web browser. It provides faster, more efficient downloads when I don't feel like sitting around just watching the progress bar.

It's simple, really. DownThemAll! (or Down The Mall, as I like to call it), is litterally the second thing I install on every new computer, right after Firefox. The built-in download manager has gotten better through newer versions, but for a power user like, nothing beats DTA... Even when using Chromium in the odd times Aurora decides to crash in-between updates, I keep a "tmp-profile" session open just for it.
The best feature to date, which hasn't been toped by any competitors to my knowledge, is the regexp quick filter. I <3 !

This is super if you need to download a lot... i surf around on pages like Deviantart ... there are many pictures just ready for the plugin to swallow. It makes everything easier because you dont need to go in and click "save as" but you can just use the "one click" downloader

Whether this actually does increase downloading speed, or whether it's all in your mind, it doesn't matter. The fact of the matter is that the downloading speed does seem to increase, and this is an absolute lifesaver for a person like me on DSL. I can only imagine the sheer power of this add-on if I were on Comcast or something. Jeez!

If you want to take a bath, you NEED water. If you want to download 11,000 of something, you NEED this add on. This is the add on that takes the work out of what used to be work: "right-click", "download", "save as"....a thousand or more times. This add on literally does what it says...it "downloads them all"!. This add on has saved me so many hours, it's immeasurable. Trying to use the Internet without this add on is like trying to eat without a mouth. Sure, I can get the food in my body, but it HURTS that way!

I download lots of stuff. Entire runs of webcomics, image galleries, collections of utilities. I admit I was late to discovering DownThemAll -- I was used to an external download manager/accelerator.
But then I tried it. It was a real eye-opener. Being able to grab all content linked from a web page? Big time-saver. Being able to define a list of sequentially-named files to download? VERY big time-saver. And then there's the AntiContainer for ultimate leeching...
Nowadays, I simply can't work without it. I rarely fire up my (paid for) external download manager anymore. Every time somebody suggests me to move to another browser, I point out the lack of anything even remotely resembling DownThemAll's retarded cousin. The DtA team did a fantastic job, one that highlights the power and flexibility of the Mozilla extension framework.

I cannot imagine ever having Firefox without this Add-on! It's works just as awesome now as it did 5 years ago when I first started using it! Keep up the great work!

Please, please fix the bug in v2.0.13 where it adds a duplicate of the last folder in the destination path. It's on your bug list. It's irritating as everything.
If browse to save location of say, C:\Documents\Downloads,
the path DTA saves the file in is
C:\Documents\Downloads\Downloads\filename.ext

got this addon when i first got firefox. LOVE IT. Keep this addon around, its perfect. only thing i might recommend is that instead of looking for the .jpg suffix, if it could show me a preview of each media object available. not all pics have the suffix. otherwise perfect guys!!

I registered just so I could say dta is faster than IDM from what I can tell it's not the actual Down Load speed that determines how fast its working But the actual time it takes to DL something
IDM took 25 min to DL a whole movie
dta took 10 min. ?!?!?!!? how is that slower. and for reference I use Download Helper and dta together...................
and dta don't have a 30 day timer on it either. I hate crap like that.....
