It is fully free and is already integrated to Firefox which means, there is no clutter added to your program files because it is an add-on, not an external application. It is feature-rich and is very useful with its user-friendly interface. Downloading with it is very fast and it can also resume downloads. Because of all of this, DownThemAll is the best alternative to IDM and because of this, you don't need IDM anymore.

Well when it does what it is supposed to, it is awesome. It works fast to download even files that would usually take a lot more time. I do however notice that half the time it downloads files as an .html file instead of the zip or rar that I am actually looking to download. I am not sure why it does this. When this happens it is annoying.

Одно из самых нужных дополнений для файрфокса! С помощью него файлы качать можно в несколько потоков, благодаря этому вы можете увеличить скорость скачивания в несколько раз. Дополнение маст хев :)
Но есть одно НО - вчера скачивал с гугл драйв, так и не смог докачать, скачка останавливалась и все.... Пришлось стандартными средствами. Небольшая ложка дегтя :(

When DTA works, it works well and quickly, but there are severe annoyances. When a download starts, it slows Firefox to a crawl for several seconds (or locks it). I've seen this reported back for several years. I tried downloading Beta versions to see if they correct the problem but all the Beta download links on the DTA site are dead.

I love the actual download functionality, but the interference with Firefox is so frustrating that it cripples speed browsing, so I have stopped using DTA

Только нужный функционал и ничего лишнего. "Донвалд мастер" и аналогичные бесплатные программы-качалки тихо и нервно курят в углу!

Habe das Addon nun schon seit frühesten Firefox-Zeiten.
Es läuft einfach super.
Findet zwar schwer verlinkte Bilder nicht. Aber das können die anderen auch nicht. zur Not kann man die Bilder per "Bild anzeigen" einzeln anzeigen lassen, dann den Link kopieren und mit Hilfe der Stapelfunktion kann man dann die Bilder holen :-)

Profile anlegen für unterschiedliche Speicherpfade wäre noch ne nette neue Funktion die noch fehlt.

Overall, great add on, a must-have. However, does not work reliably with MP4 files with FireFox 23.0.1 on Intel Macbook Pro OSX 10.7.5 and up. Most of the time gets 416 errors. If you need to download MP4, then you will need another solution as well.

Even with the MP4 problem, it is still the best download manager, in my opinion.

I've used this for years, it's been consistently the best.

The only thing that drives me crazy with every use is that it insists on opening in a tiny window that's too small to use and I have to maximize it every time because it won't remember the window size from the previous use, no matter how recent. It never fails to irritate. I wish it would open in a tab instead.
