I just needed to see the sender's address in my Spam folder. so I can display it here and hide it in the other folders. Perfect! Thanx

Yes! Simply does what I wanted it to do. It was frustrating trying to figure out if an email was legit or not, but not wanting to have to actually open the email to check on the real address. Thank you!!

Good add-on, but unfortunately it doesn't work when looking through merged inbox in Unified Folders pane.

0.1.9 works on TB 8.0 and makes identifying spam and malmail much easier. In the future, consider defining combined DisplayName <RealName> columns to reduce column space required to display both (a single column could be shrunk to accomodate most names, and adjusted on demand).

I continue to be amazed that no other e-mail client that I'm aware of offers this display option, which seems to me to be critical to identify malmail.

I was looking for an add on to check a particular email for authenticity. I was thinking of show header from the right click or something. But this did the job just fine. The message was from the sender in the name and safe to open. Good work. Thanks.

This is great! Now I can upgrade to TB3. I WILL NOT use an e-mail program that ignores such a basic security issue otherwise. The senders REAL e-mail address. (Points and TB devs) You guys need to include this in the core program!

Thank you R.I.P. for your work adding this to TB3.

Thank you. It is simple to use and effective. I prefer to see the actual email address rather than the name which I may have entered into the address book. Also, it gives a consistent look which for me is easier to view. Also helps with sorting out junk mail. Currently I am on T-bird 3.05.

Now I need to find an add-on which will quickly copy the column settings from my inbox folder to all my other folders (over 100), rather than do each one manually.

Version 0.1.7 works like charm now!.

Thanks for fixing the problem and for adding the german locale. We added your extension to our collection in german thunderbird-mail.de wiki:

Both columns can be displayed, but are empty, no address shown.

Tested on TB 3.0.4 and 3.1rc1 german (Win7 32bit). But this would be an important extension, so I rate 4 stars, keep on.

BTW: German locale would be nice.

I posted with some speed (and reluctance because I knew it would harm downloads and so development and I loved the version that worked with 2 so I WANT it to move on) because I was worried that someone else would have the same problem. Dodgy software does exist.

But after a full reinstall I have still had problems and have now discovered that the machine (brand new) did not pass the surface scan test.

So just some unfortunate timing 2 days fine - add on goes on - machine goes down - and ...

But as soon - within 10 mins - I realised I have been back here to post because I really want this extension to be out there.

Apologies but my heart was in the right place

@Page123 check what else got in your machine before low rating and blaming this add-on I am using it on three machines without any problem.

On my brand new machine something has got in and made it ill. I have not put a lot on there but this went on. It seemed okay yesterday but today !!! It could be something else but maybe proceed with even more caution than otherwise
