I have a similar problem to 'JayUSA on Oct. 1, 2019'.
I'm using Thunderbird v68.2.1 32bit on Windows 10 Home 64bit DELL PC.
I also have Manually Sort Folders add-on.

WhenThunderbird starts up, it displays the last folder used in the previous
session...
[not Local Inbox .... Manually Sort Folders add-on not
working properly now either]
...with Headings for 'Sender[@]' & 'Recepient[@]' but for each email there is no
information displayed under these headings [Subject, Date, Account, etc are
all correct].
If I select another folder, all information is correct.
When I then select the original foler again, all information is now present.
In other words the 'Sender[@]' & 'Recepient[@]' information for each email
is now present.

I value this add-on as it has saved me from a number of bogus & scam emails
in the past.

Many thanks

P.S. I can supply a screen print if you wish.

Now works with Thunderbird 68.* , but there are persistency problems. If I select sender[@] to show in my inbox, it works perfectly. But if I restart Thunderbird, the sender[@] column will not populate (i.e. remains blank), and after a few more restarts the column disappears entirely from the inbox, including the Sender[@] header. Will be great once fully stable for Thunderbird 68.*!

Please update to new thunderbird 68

This addon is awesome but it stopped working with the last update. Please update this wonderful and important addon. It is crazy to think that this addons function is not standard in Thunderbird.

EDIT: I just saw you updated it to version 68+, thank you very much.

EDIT2: It's not compatible with the most recent version 78 an update would be greatly appreciated.

Would be 5 stars .. all it needs is an option to display the envelope sender (aka "MAIL FROM" or "Return-Path:")

Unfortunately, it seems a trivially to fix bug in Thunderbird (no surprise nobody fixed it yet) prevents this from being possible.

Will miss it; any chance of updating for TB v60+?

Version 52.7.0 Works perfectly in folder view, so is also ok when using Quick Filter Bar. In Global Search 'open email as list', you can enable the 'Sender[@]' column header but it is blank. Find > Search Messages, does not even offer 'Sender[@]' as a column header.
If you perform a search and create a 'saved Search' folder, then whilst column header is available it will fail to populate.
Result generally good but not if searching .

4.5 stars. Thank you for this add-on! Works with v52.4.0.

I deducted 1/2 star because sender@ column isn't available in T'bird search results screen. Now that would be an awesome feature for this add-on.

still works in version 52.3.0 and does just what i needed, adds a column that displays the sender's address rather than display name.
i honestly don't know why such a column or option doesn't natively exist in Thunderbird. it's very useful for security reasons, as junk mail senders often use a harmless display name to fool users into opening the message. with this addon, you can recognize potentially malicious senders immediately

When using "group by" (View | Sort by | Grouped by X), the new fields display the e-mail address of the top e-mail in each group on the group lines. Please fix or at least add an option not to display on these lines.

Thanks a lot for this nifty little add-on. It adds just what is needed: columns with plain simple email addresses for "to" and "from". They can just be enabled with a right click and dragged wherever needed. Working perfectly well with Thunderbird v.45.7.1.
Spasibo!

Rip,

Thanks for this essential addon, but will it work with Thunderbird's new "Correspondents" column?

If not, will you do an update...? Or can you point me in the direction where I might make a program modification myself, (maybe I'd get around to it eventually)?

Ist ja peinlich, dass Firefox Mails liefert, OHNE dass die effektive
Absenderadresse angesehen werden kann. Ist ja dringend
wichtig, um Spams auszuscheiden. Dieses Toll ist einfach genial und löst mein Problem !

I like this little add-on a lot! But when senders send to lists I can't see to which of my e-mail adresses they have sent. Only the Envelope-to header entry shows. So, please, insert the option to have the Envelope-To receiver shown!

It's simple and straightforward—you just install it and add the columns to the view, and it just works.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work in Unified mailboxes. It simply comes up blank there. The developer posted a response to another review back in May 2014, saying that making it work in Unified views would be in the next version, but there hasn't been a new version release in that 18-month period.

Since I'm managing ten different email accounts at once, this add-on is almost completely useless to me until it works in a Unified Inbox. Three stars because it works exactly as it's supposed to. Add the Unified compatibility, and it would be five stars, no question.

In Thunderbird email folders you can add additional columns
Sender [@]
Receiver [@]
which only show the email address and not the name.
Works with Thunderbird 31.6.0

Good, but the extra columns are empty in my most used folder (which is a saved search folder showing inbox and sent of an IMAP account).

Unfortunately it does not work in Thunderbird 24.5.0. Anybody knows a solution?

ShowAddressOnly works correctly with tb 24.5.0 except Unified View. It will be fixed in the next version.
