Simply the best, I agree with drozzy...
RocketHead was probably looking for free apps and expected this lightweight efficient and FEATURE rich FTP add on to have a super list of links and accounts to sites....
Being able to set default directories and IPv6 features, makes it worth the spot in my | Tools Menu :)
Did I mention that since I got FireFTP I am using FireFox a lot more, IE is iffy these days..... oh oh...

@rockethead2 - I am tired of idiots posting useless comments about software they don't know how to use. I downloaded an it works fine!
I wish I wouldn't have to waste time reading through garbage like that!
I am tired of newbs downloading programs (FOR FREE) and complaining about them.
-NOT offering ANY information on WHAT is not working
-NOT considering that their comment is utterly useless, since not only does it confuse people, but lowers the product rating
-NOT acknowledging that they ARE stupid dip-dumb-**** who don't know what the **** they are talking about

One of the must have add-ons for Firefox. I can easily manage my FTP accounts and transfer without any troubles right from my browser. Thank you!

Works perfectly. Since Safari was the only browser I could use to transfer files via an on-line ftp (due to automatic safety-settings in all my browser), this is a real help. I can easily access all of my (there are allot of them) ftp-accounts and do everything I need using only Fx. I love it!

Looks like a great tool now that it supports sftp, but when using FireFTP 1.0.3 for the first time, Firefox crashed. Since this is the first time Firefox has ever crashed on me and I was doing nothing else at the time, it is near certain that FireFTP caused the crash. When they find and fix this bug, I will highly recommend FireFTP. Until then, be careful.

A great FTP utility seamlessly integrated with the browser. It's saved me hours working remotely on my website.

One idea to make it even better would be the ability to create an account and assign all the various ftp login details to that account - so an account holder can login in on any Firefox browser around the world and have access to all their ftp logins.
This concept is similar to how Foxmarks allows you to save your bookmarks to your account and then retrieve them anywhere that has a Firefox browser and the Foxmarks add-on installed.

Nice program, but why am I now receiving spam to my ftp login? Thats enough to uninstall the program. Thanks for the test run.

One of the best/most essential firefox plugins. FireFTP Saves me lot's of time, I haven't used my desktop ftp client once since I've found this plugin. Highly recommended.

看到有一些中文用户说不支持中文用户名。事实上是支持的，只是要设置一下。具体方法：
点开firefox 在打开的页面左上方的地方找到“Edit”，点“Advanced”。在Advanced一栏里面将"Character Set"设置编码为东亚语言——简体中文GB2312（或你所用的中文编码）即可。

旧版本（支持firefox2.0.x的版本）的下载速度比较慢，只有几十KB，但新版本（支持firefox3.0.x的版本）的下载速度大大提高，在百兆局域网可以达到每秒10MB的速度，将带宽全部利用。很帅！

Great, reliable, and extremely useful! Wish, however, that there was a way to be warned that the FTP server in use was NOT configured to allow the MDTM command and thus sync timestamps.
