I have been using FileZilla FTLP, but I think this is a much better program and seems to work much quicker. Like it very much.

Nice Add-on.

Be aware, that it doesn't like folders with too many files. Script will take a long time to finish and you will get asked it you want it to continue.

I can deal with that, but you should be awar ...

Top S/FTP Clients, Very Efficient, and Very Nice GUI.
useful for direct ftp links action, and as stand-alone.
this and filezilla client are my favorite, this add-on is very useful since it can be embedded in the portable version of firefox (can be download or done using vmWare's thinApp-thinstall).

uses external lib. so it is not a resources hog, nor will slow down firefox, which is great !

I've been using FireFTP for years, and the only problems I've ever had are caused by my own connection speed. I've recommended it to anyone who needs an FTP client. It's simple and fairly quick to understand, but also has wonderfully more complex features such as setting multiple upload connections, resuming errored/cancelled uploads and downloads, multiple accounts with individual root locations, and so much more! This is easily the best FTP client ever written.

Its a fantastic add on for web developers, except its search capability which is very limited.

Awesome! blows away command-line or built-in gui ftp in windows. The "continue-on-error" feature for transferring multiple files is a life-saver!!!

I like what you're doing but the 4gb limit is just unforgivable. I just wasted like 10 hours downloading 30gb only to find out that it didn't work :/

The main thing an FTP program should be able to do is transfer files... And when it can't even do that with files over 4 GB... Not so good!

Points off for distributing binaries in the XPI. More points off for making the build system depend entirely on Windows (with Cygwin utilities in CVS, even). Really unimpressed, likely to remain that way until this is crufted entirely in XUL and uses Firefox' own NSS library for crypto.

swrdmstr2009: Firefox and XUL add-ons aren't limited to anything. You're using a Win32 build that's limited to 4GB for no obvious reason. ( See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension just for openers.)

Nice A.M.O people: Would be great if binaries-dependent XPIs were clearly labeled, plz.

I love this addon for the ease of access with many nice features it allows when accessing my FTP site at home.

Excellent features and works quite well.

As a reply to gallico:
The addon is limited to 4 GB because Firefox and it's Addons are written in 32-bit. 4 GB is the limit in a 32-bit environment.in reality it's just under 4 GB but 4GB is easier to write instead of the real limit of;

It's a nicely crafted add-on, but what the heck made you consider a 4GB file size limit a good idea and what technical reasons might have required that in a time where 64bit operating systems are common?
