It is the best addon for firefox, I've used many other desktop FTP clients and they are not as good as this one, and you have it right in your browser. I use Windows and Linux and this works perfectly in both.
Never experienced any problem with it, and I've used it a lot for many years now.
It even supports SFTP, and many other clients just don't.
I just took a time to realize how much this piece of software have helped me all this time.

This addon has fallen off used to be good! Noticed now, if you highlight a group of files and transfer hardly do ALL of them get transferred. Try to sync directory(s) and you'll notice a number of files will not get transferred! For site designers / devs, obviously this is not good.

Hello BG,
Hm, I'm not seeing the problem you describe. Please submit a bug report here http://fireftp.mozdev.org/developers.html and I can help you figure out the issue! Thanks!

Greatest addon ever. I haven't experienced problems with the plugin, nor do I have any qualms about the UI. Fantasic overall.

I donated, you should too!

Mm, the seahorse toolbar button is still there. (Right click on the toolbar and select Customize to add it to your toolbar). Or you can also find it in Tools->Web Developer

I'm using FF 5 and the behavior of this plugin is very disappointing. Even with the Debug messages enabled I was not able to figure out why it was continuously attempting to connect to my server instead of downloading a simple file. I've no time to look in the logs nor to give this sh** a second chance.
Very old standards here IMO.
It used to be a helpful plugin in the past. Too bad it hasn't evolved. :-(

A great addon, fast well programmed.
It is nice not to have a separate ftp client.

I was using FileZilla FTP solution. I just came to know about FireFTP from my friends. I assumed something wrong about it. It's amazing and very easy to use from Mozilla Firefox!! Thanks FireFTP team to give freedom from desktop FTP clients!!

être webmaster n'est pas de tout repos, surtout lorsque l'on jongle entre les differente fenêtre on fini vite par se perdre. Cette addons tombe à point car il intègre un client FTP directement accessible sur votre navigateur

I don't use FTP softwares (such as CuteFTP) any more. FireFTP is the best and it's inside my firefox.

It took me just about an hour to find the post regarding the new location of the FireFTP (which program I have been using very happily for some years now) link in Firefox 7. I got the job done by installing an alternative, and then went back to hunt. Multiply that by 21 million satisfied downloaders..... Maybe a little note somewhere? No issues with FireFTP itself. It does all I need.

Sorry it took you a while to find the new location - I know it's a bit confusing. :-/ I would something under Developer Comment's on the add-page but that's pretty hidden and I want to keep the description as simple as possible.

I love this program and use it everyday. I just upgraded to FF6 from 3 and got the latest FireFTP. I can't get SFTP to work though. It connects, but no host files are displayed.

I love fire ftp, and wouldn't change. I recommend it as a great ftp handler. The big problem is that after upgrading to FF 6.0, I cannot run it from tools menu anymore, the icon is nowhere to be found, and I have to run it manually with chrome://fireftp/content/fireftp.xul
Not really nice tho. I wish this bug will be fixed soon. I see there is a FireFTP button extension too, for toolbar, but it doesn't work for me.

There's been some reorganization in the new Firefox. The new FireFTP button is listed under Tools->Web Developer. Alternatively, you can also add it to the toolbar by customizing - see also: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/how-do-i-customize-toolbars

One of the best and most useful Firefox add-ons I ever used. One of the main reasons I haven't completely switched to Chrome.
It seems to be not compatible yet with Firefox 6, though: no FiteFtp icon is displayed anywhere on FF 6 interface...

But will be better if you add option Run FireFTP - in pin tab

I have been using FireFTP for years (sent a donation early on, chaps!) and every now and again I try to set up another (for a good reason, eg. as part of a combined HTML editor and FTP combined application) but this is the ONLY one I have ever managed to set up without tearing my hair out! Some I just gave up and never managed to do it. I don't know why the others are so difficult when FireFTP is so easy - if you have had problems with anything else, try FireFTP.
