Scoured the net looking for a solution. This works like a charm. Should be integrated in FF by default!

Works well in Cinnamon. In addon preferences "hide titlebar" must be set to always.

User Lubuntu (LXDE, openbox)
Works great, must be set to legacy mode. Helps to have a more Chrome-like appearance

Thank you so much! Having a tiny netbook, I couldn't afford to waste any pixels on the title bar. This solves my problem.

Using this add-on, along with the GNOME 3 theme, makes Firefox better than Chromium on GNOME. Thank you!

Works beautifully with the great theme FT DeepDark. And you even get to keep the minimize, resize and close icons, which is handy because the gnome close button is gone together with the title bar. Thx!

Thank you! This looks fantastic on my Fedora19 system; better than anything else I've tried/done to maximize window/screen size.

when dragging from the top to un-maximize, the window doesn't go back to its original size. It instead fills the screen height and becomes square. GNOME 3.10.1, Firefox 25.

Edit: Updated to 2.5, but still have the problem. Legacy mode checkbox doesn't seem to work properly. Bug reported: https://github.com/seleznev/firefox-extension-htitle/issues/22

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.3.1-signed.1-signed).

Is "Use legacy mode" checkbox enabled (on preferences page)? It should be unneeded if you use GNOME Shell.

Also, version 2.5 works better (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/htitle/versions/?page=1#version-2.5).
