Is there any chance to add the option: "Send last/active session by email", so I can open it with another Firefox profile?
Thanks in advance!

Any way to auto compress unused sessions? They take up huge space. My profile is on a limited ramdisk. Just a question. No problem if implementation is too complex.
PS - I have never seen a addon like this!! Never ever disappointed me ever :)

Excellent! Keeps a huge list of recent sessions! Never lost my tabs when using this add-on! Thank you

The developers of this addon not only provide something that to me every single browser should have but have managed to enhance it. That usually isn't the case when you add on to something that in its simplest form tends to seem flawless already. No more copy-pasta of every open URL into a sticky note!
It's like the first time I saw an electric toothbrush--in this case maybe after I'd been scraping them with my fingernails for a year out of laziness and thinking they were passable.
I really, really don't like to speak so sarcastically and negatively about FOSS apps, let alone something that is an impressive and involving as Firefox, but even if this only added two keyboard shortcuts to save a single session of URL's to a flat text file and to open them back up, it would still get five stars from me because that's still more useful to me than the current somewhat similar options.
I assume we will be able to soon but right now one cannot save tab groups (yet can name label them, which I would only need to do if it were the descriptor in a saved sessions folder/menu). Nor can you bookmark open windows en masse; this might be okay if it currently didn't mean only bein able to open them along with every other, probably unrelated bookmark all at once, and then delete them all manually later. I tried to export my browser history, but I must be missing somethin that indicates it was actually exported somewhere and in a human-parsable form (wouldn't ever do that either, especially if other people used this computer). I know other people have uses for these tools but it's frustrating to have three possible almost-there features that instead of being almosjust things I
and then hhave t
Got nothin' but love for *all* the great Firefox devs and contributors; truly, I do. But damn. :P

Session Manager is necessary. Version 6.02 of Firefox is very unstable, far more unstable than version 3.6.20. Firefox crashes often when there are 100 tabs open, a situation that is common when doing research.
Session Manager is wonderful, but not perfect. Often it does not restore windows to the size at which they were saved. When restoring, apparently all tabs are re-loaded from the internet, instead of from the cache.
It's misnamed since it's function has changed, but unchecking the "reload all restored windows" option in the General Saving & Restoring options will cause Session Manager to restore sessions from the cache (if possible) instead of from the Internet.

Great App! I have to open multiple windows at work. This app does it all in one shot. Opens them all and logs in. Saving you time from performing repetitive tasks every time you start up or log out. This is a must if you open the same sites everyday! Haven't used it long yet so I don't have any Con's to report..

This is definitely an awesome extension, better that TMP' session manager (that's why I got it), 'cause more versatile ...
But ...
If I knew that it saves the session information in an even more convoluted format that TMP, I never would have switched to it,
since now it seems I can't go back easily and convert the session info into one for another browser! (Emacs' almost choking
on that super chunky thing - all information in one (1!) line (~200 tabs)! Why would you want to have it like that?)
Therefor ... could some one point at some method to get a nicer format of the session file - or even disclose the structure, so
I could adapt my convertion of the original "session.rdf" format (that's used by TMP, too)?
Or even better, does a conversion tool, or - even way better - does an export tool exist?
I plan to go back using Opera, as it is much more resource friendly ... sad but true :-(
Thanks.
PS: While I was typing that gedit is trying hard to open one of SM's session files ... and
hasn't opened it yet. (I'm on a i7 960, so ... :-(
PPS: Btw ... one reason to switch from TMP to SM was Firefox's (3.6.x) utter resource hogging
(nightmarish, even on my machine).
But eventually I found that it is just the - for me totally unimportant - saving of the session
state and/or the including of POST data in it. Set to max. time interval 16min) / turned it off and
Firefox is behaving! :-)
Still I want to use slower machines and exchange session data, so ...

Excellent. Tab Mix Plus only saves last 2 sessions.

Wish it had 'cloud' sync. I am sure they've thought of it and it is in the works.

I think this is a really useful component; what I found particularly good is:
- the possibility to change sessions, by completely replacing the windows which are open now, and the previous session is backed up
- the possibility to re-open, for example, the 5th last closed tab, without having to reopen all the other 4 I had closed in the meantime (and that button can be added to the toolbar!)
The only thing I think could be improved is: could you please extend it to SeaMonkey mail windows, allowing me, for instance, to save a session with one browser window with two tabs + one mail window with one mail tab+lightning tab (and perhaps, someone could need chatzilla as well)? That would be really perfect, and I could automatically open whatever I need on the internet, just by launching one program!

I have used this add-on for many years. There was a time I went without it because I wiped my machine clean and just absentmindedly forgot. I have to tell you that this is the best session manager I've used. When I switched to FF4 I had intermittent problems with being able to restore previous sessions using Tab Mix Plus session manager. Since installing Session Manager that issue has not returned. Also, TMP's session manager does not allow for saving a session past the last previous. Keep up the good work and thank you!

This is one of the Great Extensions (5 Stars). On Firefox 3.6.16, NoScript 2.1.0.2 prevents Session Manager from opening sessions.
NoScript 2.1.0.1 works OK with Session Manager 0.7.5.
