Excellent! However after TB update to 78.5 this add-on no longer worked. Removing it and reinstalling it solved the issue, really quite simple. I wish TB developers would not just tell you 'it's disabled!' but offer a solution.

Mr. Kewisch: I am having the same issues as many below since the upgrade to 78. Especially that I can no longer accept email invitations to add to my calendar ("no writeable calendars are configured for invitations"). I use this for my business and am frustrated that this now requires manually replying and entering meetings on my calendar. Is there a fix/update in the near future?

I, like so many others, am having issues with the TB78 update. I see an update with a "fix for TB78" has been released and it looks like it resolves the issue for some, but not all. I have the latest version of both and still have to hide/unhide each of my linked calendars to get events to show. I understand that the TB78 update caused the issue, but hoping you release another update to fix it. Thanks!

For some reason, it is not working properly.
Every time I receive a reminder of a meeting arranged by me, it eliminates all the participants from my google calendar event. It is quite inconvenient since it happens 10 minutes before the meeting and the participants can no longer have access to the meeting link.
Please fix it as soon as possible. It used to work flawlessly.

Unbrauchbar!
THIS IS BULLSHIT!!!

Giving it a five star review, as the issues with it aren't the Add-On's fault.
I have had the same issues others are having - when I upgraded to TB 78, my calendar stopped connecting. The Provider plugin was missing. Installing it again, deleting the old calendar connection, and adding a new calendar solved the problem.
I can write events from the calendar tab, but I can't do it from invites. I'm having to convert to event and set the date/time manually. This appears to be due to something TB has changed. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Since Thunderbird 78.X, the add-on is not working properly. The calendar is here but when people are invited in an event they don't receive any mail and the event doesn't appear on their calendar.

Thunderbird 78.4.3 on Mac I get same conneciting blank window. Funny enough my google calendars are not listed in thunderbird. But As soon as i remove google provide r extention. they all appear in the list. Jsut don;t show up any data in calendar. In calendar edit window there is a message that there is no provider for this calendar. So when I installed provider add-on again. Google calendars are again not listed in thunderbird and adding new still hangs with loading and blank window. Any idea how to fix this? I've been without my calendars for 2 weeks now ;o(

After a day of struggling with new TB 78.4.3 (64-bit) and this Add-On 78.0.1, I found this solution, which worked for me. In TB Calendar TAB:
1. Unsubscribe from your Google Calendar
2. Remove the Add-On "Provider for Google Calendar"
3. Reinstall a brand new Add-On "Provider for Google Calendar"
4. Resubscribe to your Google Calendar
5. Reboot TB

For it to work it requires a delete and subscribe to your google account. Relaunching TB makes it lose its connection.

It used to work until TB68, now after upgrading to TB78 no longer works.
Strange thing, it works with a freshly installed TB78.
Please fix the bugs, this add-on is so useful, it would surely deserve the 5*.
Thank you

used to work great, now you can no longer accept email invitations because the latest thunderbird removed the setting "calendar.google.enableEmailInvitations". I can only hope for an update and while you are at it, please enable email-invitations for google calendars by default. thank you

Four stars because it was so very useful for so long and hopefully can be fixed. A great add-on. Unfortunately, 78.4 seems to have broken it. Everything works great and then, after a time, my Google calendar disappears even if it's enabled and when you try to add a task, the program freezes. If you reinstall your Google calendar, it works again but eventually disappears.

Effectively broken since TB 78. Like many others I can no longer create calendar invitations or respond to invitations that I receive. We tried a few things and nothing seems to fix it.
@Developer: Is there a way the community can support you? If this add-on does not work our whole team is, it seems, forced to migrate away from Thunderbird.

Have the same issue as Gergely below. Namely: Worked well for me so far until the TB update to v78. At this point I had to update the add-on as well and it works to some extent again, but I found it very annoying, that I have to unhide all google calendars each time I start Calendars in TB. For some reasons it is automatically hidden at each startup. I am not sure if it is to do with the add-on or the Calendar feature in TB, but please make sure that the calendar viewing preferences are stored at closing TB. Also, when I add a new event, the spinning "thinking" icon starts going and doesn't stop until i switch to full screen calendar and then back to main thunderbird screen again.
