I can read the calender and it shows fine, but confirming or denying any events will fail. The inability to write the calendar modifications back to Google may also be the cause for event reminder popups appearing that I cannot dismiss using the normal dismiss button. They keep reappearing.
I guess it is time for 1.0.3 :-)

Please add support for google accounts with two step verification. I do not want to have to enter my password and authentication code every time i launch thunderbird, so it would be great if you could make this addon support application specific passwords. Thanks.

I have just updated from 1.01 to 1.02 on 4 TB installations. As Phillip suggests, if your TB locks up after you install the update, just be patient. The reason it is taking so long is that Lightning (with Provider 1.0.2) is fetching all of your calendar dates. For some, like me for example, there could be hundreds of dates to fetch and this may take a while to update. BUT once the update is over, the calendar works like a charm.
Thanks Phillip ... I'll donate later on today. This is an awesome addon. --Marc

Indeed I had some problems over the last few days, but everything works fine since yesterday with the latest versions of Thunderbird (31.2.0), Lightening (3.3.1) and PfGC (1.0.2). I use multiple gmail accounts, multiple calendars in every one of them, I add and update calendars in various places (various computers, mobile phone, online). I just felt this needed to be said, since it is a great add-on without which I would have a hard life.

Hello,
since the latest Update one Google Calendar is working fine Again.
If you are using more than one (i am Using 4 different Calendars), there is still a Problem.
Lightning is just showing one Calendar. The Others are not visible. So the Others seem to have the same Problem, like it was with the old Plugin Version.

Old events are disappeared
The same here, i have also problems with old events
This add on work fine until today. Tbird automatically upgraded to v.31.2.0 and Lightning 3.3.1. At that point, Provider refused to work until I upgraded from v.1.0.1 (which worked just fine) to v.1.0.2, which is where the wheels came off. All (and I do mean ALL) of my existing events disappeared from Lightning. I went to view my Google calendar online and those same events were there, the new Provider simply was not picking them up from Google. The curious thing is that I CAN add new events in Lightning and they will upload to Gcal and sync with my iPhone just fine, so it is only the old already entered events that are gone from Lightning.
A quick look at the Mozilla add-ons webpage for Provider 1.0.2 reveals what the problem is, it's just that no one there seems to have noticed it: In very small, almost grayed-out typeface, the following sentence appears: "Works with Thunderbird 24.0 - 34.0a1." So apparently Mr. Kewisch released an out of date Provider that is NOT COMPATIBLE with T'bird v.31.2.x.
Mr. Kewisch, re-update Provider to work with this latest T'bird abomination as well as the old one did, and I will update this review to give it the 5 stars the previous versions did.

Love this add-on to talk between Thunderbird, Google Calendar, and sync with my iPad/IPhone calendar. This new version adds a time zone feature which did not happen before. I enter something on Thunderbird calendar. Go to iPad to see it there and it has a little note adjusting time to GMT. If I try to change it from there, it is in GMT. I have to go to Google Calendar site, click on event, and "remove time zone" option. Never happened before. Kind of annoying.

Works fine again with 1.0.2 release. Thanks Philipp. For users who still have problems, try to reinit all "calendar.registry" entries in the Thunderbird's configuration editor 'about:config'

1.0.2 is working for me now (1.0.1 was broken). However there are a couple of features that are missing that are really annoying.
They both relate to meeting events created by other people. I can neither change them nor add a reminder. If I use the Google calendar directly I can. If I access the calendar via caldav I can but through this addon the events are completely read-only which is really annoying and problematic.

Version 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 had their issues, but 1.0.2 works like a charm now that my quota got reset by Google after some delay.
Love this addon. Thanks Philipp!

Me resulta muy útil el complemento, solo que no me permite aceptar o rechazar invitaciones a eventos. Me obliga a tener un calendario que sea local (no de red como es el caso de Google Calendar).

Works aOK again, since today as you predicted it, Philipp, thanks a lot. And, after trying Caldav for a couple of days, I can say that your addon is superior to Caldav as it turns out to be more stable and handles notifications by sms + easier setup.
One suggestion, Philipp: maybe you could post a direct link to the Bugzilla query about bugs for this component with most recent first on about section of the addon's page, so that users can easily view the ongoing main issues (as the last days) thus not needing to write bad reviews... :)
