This is a POS as you can export your passwords but not import them back into FF. I replaced my hard drive as my old one died (had a backup of my data) but I was running FF 3 and FF 3.5 seems to use a different password format so the old way of just copying the keys3.db and signons2.txt file did not work. Every time I try to import into FF 3 i get a XML parsing error. Passwords could not be imported. I even installed FF 3 and than upgraded to FF3.5 but my passwords did not migrated over to 3.5 (though they were in 3.0).

Great, but what an idiotic implementation. There's no install script, so it's not compatible with Mozilla or SeaMonkey. Since Firefox passwords can be migrated between versions simply by copying files, this add on doesn't seem to have any use.

i used it with ff 3.4 and it worked perfectly. after setting up a fresh windows i got ff 3.5.1 and i could importmy saved pw's, but i can't export a new list :(
i found a lot of people with the same issue on the dev's homepage, but no one gives a solution.
if it get working again also with newer version of ff, it will be a great tool or may be the dev's of ff can implent such a function in ff in the future?

Not recommended. Couldn't get this program to work. After installing the export plug in, I Exported the Password from FF as CSV file. I tried importing to KeyPass, but KeyPass was not able to import the CSV files

Hi, do not try your chance. I thought it was tested by mozilla and put on the website. I trusted. I exported 83 passwords and when I tried to import it did not work. I tried many options. Bad script, instable

I now see this tries to export a file with nothing in it (0kb). Hence, why you can't import it later. I've even downloaded an earlier version (1.0.3) and it locks up, too.

Stupid FF3.5

I can not get this to work at all in FF2.0.0.11 - freezes the Add-ons window and I can't close Firefox.

I need to move passcodes from 2.0.0.11 to the newest 3.5, but this is not working.

Exported my logins, tried to import 10 seconds later - no luck with either xml or cvs.
Apparently, non-latin (im my case cyrillic) logins get completely screwed up on export. Not only it cannot import them back, but the data files itself has incorrect string, so if you forget the login, you cannot even type it back manually.

I haave read the source code and i have seen that the encrypting system is the Gecko function atob (base64_encode in php) so to retrieve the password, you simply have to do a base64_decode in PHP or btoa() in javascript

It's a pity it cannot import its own exports in CSV format. XML formats work flawlessly

Will not import on FF 3.0.10. After clicking on the file to be imported the entire window is greyed out. Must shut down FF to recover.
