Linkification is 100% compatible with the latest Firefox, but it isn't marked as compatible here, so I have to use the Add-on Compatibility Reporter extension to make it work. Please, Mozilla, mark this as compatible with everything up through Firefox 9.0. Also, could someone please upload the latest Linkification version 1.3.9? This version is out of date. The latest version is here: http://yellow5.us/firefox/linkification/ I am using version 1.3.9 with the Add-on Compatibility Reporter on Firefox 8.0 and it works great, and I don't see why Mozilla hasn't marked this as compatible; I reported it to them as compatible using the Add-on Compatibility Reporter.

If you trust me, basically download and install. If you do not here is how to create your own version or description. You have to download the most recent version of linkification commencing from the developer site. Then you have to open the .xpi file through something similar to winrar and extract the install.rdf file to your desktop. Then you have to open the file in a text editor accomplished of doing so. I utilized Notepad++. Edit the following line commencing from, “< em:maxversion>3.6.*< /em:maxversion>” to “< em:maxversion>99< /em:maxversion>“.

Linkification doesn't work properly in Firefox 5-7*. Grab the userscript that does the same thing: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/1352

http://www.multiupload.com/19EG4H9GGSI don't know if this is allowed (if it isn't, remove it please). Increased the max version to 7.0 and I would say 98% of the links are working according to http://yellow5.us/firefox/testcases.txt
PS: someone has another version up to 9.0 in the comments below, didn't see it.

# It detect urls/mails by white characters list. (by black list in the original.)
# It uses pretty simple regex, but may be better in general browsing.
# I rerwite Firefox support version for 10.*. :-)

Does anyone know why Imageshack links show blocked_domain when opening in a new tab or window?

Exactly what I needed, you can also change the color of the links, the highlighted background.
Also a great and useful status bar icon.
BTW it works fine with FF 7.0

While waiting for someone to get on with the project, here's a file that should work up to version 9.*, assuming FF updates don't break the code itself.

This should fix linkification up to 8.0. It's simple, just followed the instructions from a previous thread when Linkification broke with the upgrade to 5.0.
