[Update 12/24/13: Ok, I jumped the gun. The add-on collapses the previous messages and expands to the current one. So, I'm giving it 5 stars, but it would be *nice* to have the option to put the most recent messages in a conversation on top.]
I did read the FAQ, and I understand that programming can be complex, but come on man, the most recent message in a conversation should be on top; you shouldn't have to scroll down to the bottom every time. The add-on is great and should get 5 stars, but this is a huge lacking feature.

Does exactly what I expected.
Helps to group conversations by creating an overview with a nice GUI

MAJOR ISSUES
- started writing a reply with add-ons inline function... saved to work on something else...
- returned and completed the reply and sent...
- that's when I noticed that the add-on had CHANGED MY "SEND-FROM" EMAIL ADDRESS....
- In this case that happened to be a real issue.
- Deactivated and haven't used since

I wrote a review earlier but deleted it because I actually solved the problem on my own.
I really like this new add on. Thank you!

This add-on is a real improvement, but imho one feature is still missing: I would like to display the latest message always first. This is especially important if you set "Expand by default" to "All messages", the user is forced to scroll down to the latest message, which can become very annoying if a block contains many messages with reply citations etc.

Very nice work, but i miss the icon of digital signature. Unfortunately therefore i can not use this add-on because i do not want always switch to original header in message. Maybe sometime in the future.

Hello! recently i installed your addon after i ditched webmail for thunderbird (i used yahoo, however their latest redesign updates made it just not for me, however i cant just ditch it because its basically tied to my life)
You addon brings so much functionality that ive always dreamed of from other services such as gmail, and so far i like it, but theres two things that really annoy me about, aesthetically mostly i suppose
1) in the part where you reply to the message in threaded mode it shows a heap of things that you'd usually not see in gmail once you click in the reply pane (date of sending and timings and all that mess) it really annoys and makes it very cluttered especially if you're going to give a somewhat lengthily reply) is there a way to make it not show said things and to me simply the way the reply box of gmail is?
2) in the reply pane at the lower part it has a very odd block-y look to it, its very off looking to say the least, is it possible that in the next update its made to look like the one the email client postbox has? heres a screenshot of what i mean http://vvcap.net/db/G9plMHIPN16RSAYCt... while the one your addon has although functional it just doesnt compliment the great functionality and work youve put into your addon :/
I thank you so much for developing this addon, among the thousands of addons thunderbird has, this one is the only one that really matters and gives it functionality that should be part of it by default from the beginning, im really hoping you'd consider these for the next update on your addon since itd make it almost perfect if not completely perfect

This is an excellent initiative. I am finding it difficult to adjust the font size in the message panel. Many emails I receive appear in very tiny font size (this is not the case when I disable the addon, somehow TB makes sure that all text comes in a consistent font size). When I use Ctrl+ to increase message font size it causes the interface's font size to increase. Conversely, when I use Ctrs+ when the addon is disabled, the interface's font size does not change. I don't know how to deal with this distortion. Probably someone can help?
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7).The reason this happens is because of an underlying bug in Gecko, the rendering engine that powers both Thunderbird and Firefox. Long story short, until bug 80713 is fixed, I have no way to fix this easily. You can contact me in private if you're interested about the full technical details :-).

There are two problems with the add-on:
1. You need to press Tab or click by the mouse before using PageUp/PageDown in a message.
2. It overrides the extra references added by the arXiv add-on.

Really useful, but the update for Thunderbird 17.0.8???
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7).Hi,
As the webpage says, you have to grab an older version for Thunderbird 17 (see the link above). The new version is for the upcoming Thunderbird 24 release, which will be out next week.
Thanks,
jonathan

Good idea, but useless to me. It's replies are in decade old pure TEXT. Doesn't support HTML replies/text... which stuffs up the received HTML based emails. Make is send in HTML, and you'll have a perfect plugin... otherwise it's useless right now.

Though TB looks more organised with this addon, I end up with an empty Inbox. Don't know if it's because several accounts go into it already or because I'm using both POP and IMAP accounts. So I had to disable it, to read my mails again. :(

I like the conversation view. Re-arranged accounts view takes getting used to. Does not work with Paranoia. Might add a star when I get more used to it. Wish T-bird had a conversation option, not just threads, which is helpful, but could be improved to show conversations.

Looks beautiful! Very well done.
Too bad, it doesn't integrate with Virtual Identity. So I can't use this add-on's embedded reply feature

Addon helps to organise huge streams of mails but is not compatible with enigmail when you use quick reply. It also does not mark messages as read if you scroll whole thread to bottom.

EXCELLENT idea for an add-on, but quite buggy. 4 stars is a little overrated.
The intuitive UI is a great idea, but every time I respond to a message, it composes in plain text instead of regular old HTML.
An entire step in the setup assistant is devoted to "tweaking settings to make Thunderbird run more smoothly", and I think that detracts from the goal and purpose of the add-on. The name of the add-on is "Conversations". Why the extra crap that messes with Thunderbird?
