defeats the purpose of a tab manager plugin if whenever you restore some of your tabs are lost and replaced by empty tabs. fix this quick

I just wanted to correct the record on my last review. All the problems I was having with Session Manager were being caused by Fast Dial. Not only that but Fast Dial was wreaking all sorts of havoc on Firefox. Fortunately I finally stumbled onto the cause. Normally Fast Dial is a good addon but something has obviously gone seriously wrong with it.

When I research something, or just find a lot of stuff I want to read/watch/whatnot, I can just save it for tomorrow, carry on where I left of.
Has all the right features, and they work perfect for me. A GREAT piece of work!

Not sure from which FF version, the session manager makes the tab titles shown as their url's. That some how a bit annoyed. I am using tab-mix plus in the same time. If I disable session manager, the problem is gone.

I'm slowly teaching myself Japanese. I've been using Session Manager to keep track of all the materials I've found. It had built up to 2 windows, with 34 tabs on one and just over 180 in the other. Keeping to this amount for months with no problems.

Suddenly, today, I accidentally closed one of the windows. I thought this would be no problem as it keeps backups for days. But. No. Somehow, after closing that window, it managed to remove that window from all of the 10 backups.

Going back to using Ctrl+Shift+D. Much more reliable.

I have used it in windows xp, xp pro, 8 and 10 and it works some then it starts failing. This script has a lot of problems and the only response I get is that Michael has a lot of other work to do and not time to support it.

The Addon makes the job but the user experiencie is very poor, specially compared with similar addons for other browsers like SessionBuddy for Google Chrome.

I have created auto-save sessions dozens of times telling it to save every 30 minute, and it works for some time but then it suddenly stops auto-saving.

I had another firefox crash recently and the newest backup was made more than 3 days ago. So I had to revert to this even though I remember creating an auto-save session very recently. Really annoying. Not sure if you have to create a auto-save session every time you restart Firefox or what, if so that's kind of unpractical.

If one juggles with too many tabs (using Tab groups) this plugin is a must.

Don't pay attention to s.c. 'reviews' by Biscuit1001 (who couldn't even find the toolbar buttons or menu items). By vvb Rrraven (who wrote:
"... The storage format looks like it was designed by drunken monkeys ..." - well, the format is written by mozilla kids, why complain here? To understand what you're talking about, should have clicked the links provided by developer and read about this extension). And, of course, by testcore (who - it looks like - posted garbage in a run by spite or just like the other two can't find his way out of a paper bag).

This is an excellent extension, very well supported through a dozen of years by now, loaded with options and works well.

To you, 'writers' i'd suggest learn to read before you write. Just above this review textbox, there's a site suggestion for a review which says among other things:
"Please do not post bug reports in reviews" . And the extension developer provided a link to the documentation (which is as complete as it can possibly be) and the thread where you can post any question you might have and/or report bugs (which usually are promptly fixed, BTW).

One of the best extensions out there, a must have i install first thing in every profile for years. Very highly recommend, nobody should browse without it!

The session-saving-and-loading-thingy functionality in this add-on is incredibly useful, and as someone who's very prone to starting large, long multi-window research sessions at the drop of a hat, I've come to rely on it as a natural part of how I do browsing, because otherwise I wouldn't be able to close my browser until I finished, which can be disruptive to other computer-type-things I might want (or have) to do.

However, (and this isn't Mr. Kraft's fault but it's still a big however), I recently had to switch to Pale Moon due to Mozilla's continued flagrant disregard for user friendliness, customizability, good design and common sense, and sadly, this add-on is not compatible with Pale Moon, nor is there a compatible version. I would really appreciate having something like that made, if it's not too much trouble or anything.

Session Manager Toolbar icon is nowhere to be found. In customize only the "Undo Close" icon available. No options available from the Tools menu. Seems to save the session - when I kill FF process and start FF again it pops up a list of sessions but it fails to restore the chosen one

I heard that Mozilla will remove the Tab Groups funtion soon, but my daily work highly rely on it.

So I begin to find some other tools to replace it.
I use this with Tree Style Tab and Rename Tab Title, so that I can organize Tab Groups, rename group names and close Firefox without losing the renamed group name by loading the last session.

Hope these wonderful add-ons won't be affected by Firefox updates.

Thanks for the great add-on! Some useful functions are still missing. Pls consider adding:
1. "Append to Session" option to allow amending currently open session or window to a previously saved session without re-opening it, and with sorting out duplicates
2. Allow at least 2-3 level Group Hierarchy to properly group multiple sessions to subgroups. Or allow users to create new folders in Session Folder via Windows Explorer, and sort existing saved sessions into them, while still accessible in SM
3. Allow Import Session from Chrome Session Buddy (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/session-buddy/edacconmaakjimmfgnblocblbcdcpbko?hl=en), and Export Session in a format, compatible with it, for using saved sessions in both browsers interchangeably.

What I want is every session I end, I want all the windows to be saved unless I manually delete it. How do I ensure that? (your users guide is a bit complex).

For example if I load an old session, then decide I want to load another session instead and click Replace current session, will that delete the session in the archive or just the windows iI have open now?

Also, you say you can back up saved sessions but don't explain how (for non techy like me). Just copy and paste the folder into documents?
