I usually write emails very early in the morning, but I don't want my customers to be aware of that. Send later is the perfect tool for that!. If you need to plan your email send policy, you need this :)

This is the most useful feature in all of my Thunderbird aresenal. I love it, and cannot live without it.

I started using Thunderbird having been used to GMail's web client, and was used to the "Undo send" function. I set up Send Later to give me a button that sends my email in a minute's time, which is usually enough for me to realise I've put the wrong person in the To: box or realise I wanted to add some more text. Very good! The only reason I've gone for 4 stars rather than 5 is that I'd like to be able to do this "send in a minute" from the Ctrl-Enter keyboard shortcut, but it's only a small issue.

I have been using this product for several years and it works great. The only thing that you must remember is to keep your email client open while waiting to send the message. A great product for those who may work different shifts or want to send a message at a specific time.

1. I don't speak Spanish. I can try feeding what you write into Google Translate, and that's what I will do if you write in Spanish, but if you happen to speak English better than Google Translate can translate Spanish ;-), you might want to write to me in Spanish.

Свои функции выполняет, письма в назначенное время улетают без проблем. Единственное требование - запущенный Thunderbird в необходимое время отправки. И один минус - при работе с одним ящиком с разных машин с одинаковыми почтовиками и дополнениями письмо отправится только с той машины, с которой письмо поставлено в отложенную отправку.

I tested with SeaMonkey German 2.39 final Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:42.0 from official download area) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0 Build 20151103191810 (Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit:
Works fine, and the "mozillazine"-workaround heals the problemwith the "eaten" Disposition-Notification (see http://blog.kamens.us/send-later#caveats). The other workaround does not work for me, neither with SM 2.39 nor with TB 46.0a1 (2015-12-30)

Hi,

Apparently, adding Disposition-Notification-To as described in the user guide is broken in the current version of Thunderbird. This is due to a Thunderbird issue, not an issue with Send Later. See:

The tool is useful and works fine.

I have to agree the schedule interface is mingled and can be simplified. Liking or not the interface is not a matter of personal taste, it's about making it linear and simple.

Love it! A feature request - if it let me set a default recur period, as i send everything weekly, which would require one less click

EDIT A great addon v4.4.4 now works with "Mnenhy" (which is the only addon which fixes the header up to TB38.1 on all my copies)

Great add-on. Working on different timezones made my communication easier.

Just a feature suggestion:
Auto shutdown PC after all email are sent.

Just to say thank you for the hard work. I work for clients all around the globe with so many different time zones and this addon makes life so much easier. I use this addon for the past 2-3 years without any flaws. Works also perfectly together with Mail Merge.

I do like the interface, and all functionality is logic once you give it a try and play around a bit. Powerful addon!

Love it! A feature request: If I set up an e-mail to be sent regularly (daily/weekly/whatever), it would be nice to be able to give a stopping date.

Thank you, this add-on makes my life a lot easier. I work late at night and don't want my clients getting emails at 3 am so I use Send Later to deliver emails to them during the normal workday. Works great, no issues, love it!

I like the functionality. But I dislike the weird design of the dialogue window. Please make it possible to use colours and fonts/font sizes according to current system settings. I believe, the dialogue could be redisigned to look a lot simpler.

This looked pretty good at first, but the interface of the schedule dialog could be much clearer. Instead of "send to outbox" and "send now", it should only have a "schedule for send" button. I clicked the "send now" thinking that would send it as a schedule message. An email just went out Friday night instead of Monday morning... Why have a true "send now" button when you wouldn't even use this addon's functionality when sending a regular, non-scheduled email?

I have tried various different layouts for the prompt window, and no matter what I do, somebody complains. At some point all that's left to do is to find the interface design that seems to provoke the fewest complaints, and do my best to document it for the few people who are still confused.

I'm not sure how to make it more obvious than it is now -- the "Put in Outbox" and "Send Now" buttons are in an entirely separate box in the dialog, outlined in red, and the button for scheduling a message is labeled "Send Later at time(s) specified above" -- without making the interface more clunky rather than less.

I understand that some people do not find the interface entirely intuitive. That is why there's a user guide as well as detailed, explanatory tooltips that pop up when you hover over the buttons.

The "Put in Outbox" and "Send Now" buttons are there because people use them. "Put in Outbox" is necessary because when Send Later is installed, that button is the only way to put a message into the Outbox. "Send Now" is necessary because some configure their "Send" button to _always_ pop up the Send Later dialog, and they need the option when the dialog pops up of sending the message now rather than scheduling it for later.
