@Laurens truthly speaking, when I choose the menu option "Launch another profile" and then I click in the new desired profile and finally hit yes in the dialog that pops up if I wish to restart the browser with a new profile if I choose yes Firefox closes itself but never shows up again.

This bug should be fixed in 1.7.6 version, released now.
A workaround is to set the preference "extensions.profileswitcher.use_onbeforeunload" to false, but I suggest to try before the new version.

Profile Manager without the console. Directly from Firefox itself. It should not be a plugin, it should be part of Firefox.

Very good.

Profile Switcher is working perfectly fine in FF ver 46. Very wonderful means to quickly switch between FF profiles.

For me it worked fine too till FF45 Update came out. Could the author please patch this so it works again?

Definitirvamente debiera estar más promocionado, pocas veces he instalado un complemento que funcione ABSOLUTAMENTE SIEMPRE al menos en mi entorno. Simplemente me premite administrar todo el correo de los varios dominios que tengo cambiando de perfil y NUNCA FALLÓ en todos los años que llevo usándolo. Gracias!!!

I have installed it and spent 30 minutes just to see it somewhere, anywhere.. and I didn't. Change all settings in option and like nothing is changed. Can believe that someone can make such a thing that you need to spend hours for a simple click.

Use to switch between multiple concurrent profiles. Also use Session Manager to manage/group multiple backup sessions(tabs and tab groups) within each profile. On top of that have Tab Groups re-enabled via add-on, and finally use Tab Groups Helper to group and manage multiple tabs and tab groups. All working well together, but disable automatic add-on updates as it is a finely tuned setup. Better to update to newer add-on versions after they have been well and truly tested.

I use two profile to access two accounts in a website and run imcaros. I've two different proxies for each profile.Does each profile's cookies are unique? Can the website find I'm using 2 accounts at same time?

Best plugin for changing profiles fast. Profiles are a great way to prevent Firefox crashes due to loading up too many extensions. I created seperate profiles for Work, Shopping, News, Research, etc. Thanks Paolo - I appreciate your work!

When opening links it still doesn't use the current open instance of Firefox and will frequently launch using my other profile instead. Sometimes I even get the 'firefox is currently running but not responding' error message when I clearly have a working instance open.

There is an option called "Open profile loading the current page". I have no idea what this means or what it does. When I enable it, it doesn't seem to do anything?

It was looking like a super annoying shell operation to do this in linux, this addon made it easy! Good as I am solely running on a LiveCD distro since my boot drive died.

A plugin you can't do without if you need to work with different profiles, like private and work. It works great.

Like the previous reviewers I see the same problem.
I like to add, that I use "Tab Mix Plus". Maybe there is a unwanted interference.

Like the previous review I noticed that this addon replaces the tooltip for tabs. When you put your mouse on a tab it should display its full name but with this addon enabled it just says "current profile: [profilename]". Hope this gets fixed soon.

For some reason, this extension has started replacing the tooltip for each tab with the name of the current profile.

I like that we can put the profile switcher button anywhere. The settings were fixed in a recent update! awesome.
I just wish we could get a list of current profiles in a drop down menu as soon as we press the button, but instead I have to click on it and then "Launch another profile" and then select the one I want.

Su Thunderbird 38.2.0 (Win7 Ultimate x64) la versione 1.7.2 si installa ma il pannello delle opzioni non funziona (non vengono salvate le modifiche).
Installando la versione 1.7.1 e poi aggiornando alla 1.7.2, invece, il tutto funziona correttamente.

Fantastic Extension! Love it, have wanted something just like this to get rid of all the shortcuts I use for different profiles!
