I would rate this a 5, but i noticed a very annoying bug since a while..
Entries that i had marked as read, often are marked as unread again, after starting Firefox new.
Makes this Addon useless for me at the moment. So i rate only 3 Stars

Will send a Bug report at Mozdev.org, had problems to login to my Account.

This is probably my favorite addon to Firefox - it simple and one of the most intuitive readers available.
After some of the recent Firefox updates, however, an issue has popped up. On refresh the bowser will lock up with the script error:
Script: chrome://newsfox/content/parser.js:439
I have tried adjusting the thread settings but it makes no difference. Any input on fixing this would be appreciated.

После перевода youtube на HTML5 ролики в ленте новостей не проигрываются. Теперь необходимо переходить на сайт или на youtube.

Es mi sustituto favorito para Google Reader.
Desde que murio Google Reader estuve probando muchos lectores Rss en version Web, de Escritorio y Movil: Newsfox me parecio el mejor.
De cuando en cuando da un error en que se rompe y tengo que desinstalar y reinstalar el complemento, preciosamente eso me esta pasando en este momento en Lubuntu 15.04 con Firefox 38 recien actualizado.

I like the clean, 3-panel layout.
Also, it is quite fast when the Display Style is set to "text".
However, it is missing two features:
1. Links to send posts to social media (in addition to the email link).
2. Search function.
UPDATE: I jury-rigged a social media link in Linux as follows:
1) Create a bash script as follows:
#!/bin/bash
# remove the 'mailto' section of the link, leaving only the post's URL:
URL=$( echo $1 | cut -d"=" -f3 )
# send the post's URL to the appropriate address:
firefox --new-tab https://plus.google.com/share?url=${URL}
2) Make this bash script executable.
3) Click the mail icon, then click "Choose an Application", navigate to your bash script, and choose it.

I love this addon. It's simply designed and easy to use, however it needs a search feeds function.

This version seemed to cure my previous issues regarding this add-on. Even though it throws XML errors as the review before mine noted, these XML issues are actually being handled now. I believe these previously unhandled errors were randomly crashing my computer upon reading some feeds.

Получше, чем Brief относительно приближенности к возможностям фидера в Опере 11, особенно в плане массового удаления записей и скорости обновления лент, но:
1) в случае косячной ленты хорошо бы у кнопки паузы через 20-30 секунд увидеть, какая именно лента тормозит процесс или внедрить многопосточность и внутренние приоритеты по предыдущим данным о скорости обновления
2) надпапка "корзина" всё же не помешает, именно из-за здешней лёгкости удаления (и хорошо бы туда ещё кнопку "вернуть последнее удаление", но это желание так, вишенка на торте)
3) в кнопке справки надо поправить последнюю строчку покороче - "Домашняя страница NewsFox"; упомянутая там "лента" вводит в непонятки
4) в Brief есть опция "игнорировать эту ленту при подсчёте количества непрочитанных записей"; бывает полезно
5) было бы здорово, если бы обновления не требовали присутствия открытого окна NewsFox. Brief обновляется самостоятельно и это удобно (зато неудобно, что анимированное слайдерное оповещение пролезает поверх других памятежрущих приложений вне браузера и безбожно тормозится. не повторяйте эту ошибку)
6) хоткей на установку-снятие звёздочки бы. сильно не хватает для клавиатурно-дружественного управления приложением
В остальном лично для меня приложение практически идеально, великолепная работа (повторюсь, я разбалован почто-фидером в Опере 11). Желаю хорошего кода.

When I subscribe to an Atom/RSS feed with Firefox it won't appear in NewsFox, also a restart of Firefox won't help.
I have to manually add it in there.

Great add-on, but I have a bug to report:
When I click on a specific feed group, a green progress bar appears next to the "history" icon and gets stuck at about 80%. Subsequently NewsFox does not list the articles within that group but tells me to wait until loading has finished.
I figured it must be due to some broken feed in that group, but shouldn't there be timeouts to prevent that behaviour?
Update: Following feeds have since started causing the behaviour I described:

Maybe there's been an update to the RSS code these websites use that NewsFox can't deal with?

je m'en sert tous les jours pour gerer mes news avec une 40 de news a suivre.
J'ai pas de reproche juste des suggestions d'ameliorations:
- Utilise bcp de ressources lors du rafraichissement des news, ce qui rend lent l'ordi
- Impossible de l'utiliser sur plusieurs ordis en meme temps, il n'y a pas de synchronisation.
A part ca rien a dire j'en suis tres content.

Абсолютно идеальный плуг! Говорю каг юзер Оперы(той самой, годной, а не того что хромоклон), всё так как и привык в M2.
Благодрю создателя сего плугина. Всё остально шлак в сравнении с NewsFox!
Никаких свисто-перделок - только то что нужно.

feeds can be opened from Newfox page as new firefox tabs in the background - which makes Newsfox very usable with bookmarking and bookmarking firefox extensions. I have had no problem quickly updating a large amount of feeds as summaries.
Newsfox handles OPML files for exporting and importing wich makes it easy to set up other instances or other feed readers (i.e. liferea, quietrss, seamonkey, etc.)
Its easy to add feeds, delete feeds and to organize feeds into groups.

What Sadly missed, was able to send the feed received by email. Most feed readers today have this function.

My lovely wife (it is her who acrually uses the extension, but she is too shy to write here) have found the solution to feed refresh hanging problem:
Open NewsFox settings dialog, "Feeds/Articles" tab, set "Feed refresh" -> renewal (seconds) to 0.
By the way, the Russian translation is not correct here, the "threads" setting name is translated to Russian as "feeds".

Firefox pushed an update this weekend, and I suppose that's what broke it. Now when I click to check all feeds, it seems to hang on the first one.
