I am sorry. Quicktext is still a legacy extension and requires updates for each new Thunderbird version. I’m currently unable to provide updates for Thunderbird’s monthly release channel. Quicktext users need to use Thunderbird’s ESR channel, which only receives a major update once per year. I hope to complete the transition from a legacy extension to a modern WebExtension in 2026.

Die Methode, die geladene XPI Datei zu entpacken, den Zähler "strict_max_version" in der Datei "manifest.json" auf einen höheren Stand zu setzen, alles wieder packen, in .XPI umbenennen und installieren, funktioniert auch hier wieder.

A very helpfull extension that i use every day. I just don't understand why the fix we had at the end of the summer doesn't work anymore as i did'nt do any thunderbird update since. Each times the extension get off, i waste a lot of time writing the same things 10 or 20 times a day. Hope a new fix will com soon. Thanks a lot for the great job you do every times.

Really like this extension and used it daily. But no more now. So will this be updated to the latest version? Or is it now in the history and we have to find replacement?

I am trying this extension out, and it looks like it will do what I need, but is there any way to turn off/hide the toolbar with the buttons in the compose window? It doesn't show up as a toggle in the normal View->Toolbars (where it should be). This seems like a very basic setting, so not sure what I am missing.

Edit: I saw in the source code that there is a preference setting for whether the toolbar is visible or not, but the comments also say there is no GUI for it. Does anybody know how I can modify that setting through other means?

Viiiielen Dank für das Update!

Quicktext verwende ich für Signaturen für fast jede Mail. Eine einzige Signatur finde ich unpersönlich. Deshalb variiere ich diese immer wieder. Auch die in den Signaturen hinterlegten Kontaktdaten variieren.

Ich nutze Quicktext seit Jahren und bin damit absolut zufrieden! Bei Thunderbird-Updates folgt umgehend eine Anpassung, so daß man (fast) sofort weiterabreiten kann. Danke!
