"blocking all scripts by default is paranoia"
Hear hear! NoScript makes browsing the web a real chore, all I need is an extension like this that I can set to block particular scripts I don't like.

Just as WOT (Web Of Trust), YS (YesScript) is another wonderful Anxiety Drug.
There are 2 kinds of bad scripts. One is badly coded script but obviously harmless, one is malicious script, mostly well-coded. YS deals with the former while NoScript blocks the latter. Why the differences?
YS bases on users' keen eyes. But would a user know a malicious script when seeing it? Or YS would becomes a localized version of WOT? So a normal user browses a website and thinks: "Eek, this page works badly, let's block it". That's good, ugly website should be blocked for sure.
BUT THERE IS NOTHING TO DO WITH SECURITY HERE.
I rather say YS is good as a "subjective opinion-based script-blocking" but not as a security extension.
PS: Yes, NoScript is not for newbies since it's 'complex' and quite not a "ready to use after installing" piece. But it's quite not troublesome when browsing if you configure it properly from the start. Nothing is free, security comes at the cost of a little gray matter :)

Seriously, what's the point? Overconfident browsing won't do you any favors once you go somewhere you shouldn't have. Blocking something bad *after* you've exposed yourself to it is useless.

The options window for this addon gets messed up if you have a larger than default dpi display setting.

The file is compact (10 times smaller than NoScript) and very easy. However, as many point out, sites we need to block are virtually always peripheral to the site we're visiting. This extension is more of a hassle than NoScript because we can't easy block 3rd parties. Just two small features would make it the real NoScript alternative:
1)click to blacklist 3rd parties (not just the current domain)
or
2)import blacklists (like filterset.g)

I would dump noscript for yesscript in a heartbeat if only it displayed all the content source domains of a page, not just the one in the url bar. The domain in the url bar is usually not the domain I want to blacklist, its the rest of the junk content on the page that needs to be blocked.

First of all, YesScript and Noscript should exchange their names. Yesscript allows scripts by default, and gives you the option to disable scripts. Noscripts does the opposite. I would like Yesscript if it had a blacklist like Adblock Plus Filterset G has. Then the most notorious sites would be excluded automatically.

Love this extension. Disable javascript on sites that use it for annoyances or have buggy scripts. I like to always have javascript enabled - most sites these days need it - and only disable on specific sites. If you know you are about to start surfing dodgy sites, then you can always disable javascript entirely in Firefox's options.

Like NoScripts but less paranoic, really good ;)
The only "problem" that I have found is that don't block some domain: http://*.ru doesn't work...

It seems that the life of soldier affected your brain. And the millions of users who do not have noscript or YesScript? Why their browsers are not destroyed? Because Firefox is safer. Those extensions are auxiliary. But I repeat, noscript is paranoia. There are more friends that enemies on the Internet. And with the enemies I know deal. Use Firefox for browsing, setting NoScript is waste of time.
The Internet is not like a war. It seems more like a city. It has citizens and criminals, but citizens make up the vast majority. If someone goes for the city armed and treating everyone as enemies, would be treated as insane and would be arrested.

I came to check the add-on homepage cause I am Spanish and was experiencing the bug Alvaro described and fixed- mil gracias!!
Guardian666 is taking things over the top. The main use I give this add-on is the one in the description, avoid ads and limitations.

I have been a soldier all my life and I would never go into battle wearing a t-shirt, flipflops and carrying a notepad until I find there is bad people shooting at me, take notes and then block them so I am prepared next time. NoScript may be "paranoic" which is not even a word but it is much more advisable to go to a site have function limited and decide you need it and you trust it to allow it rather than go to it, get destroyed with bad code only to go back and block it, this make sense to you people? really?

NoScrip is a paranoic way!
YesScript is my option.
But, please add a option for context menu: "Add this link for YesScript" so, we can add a site before visit.
I use YesScript + Controle de Scripts.
PS: NoScript is very annoying.

More friends than enemies on the Web, so YesScript is my option. Simple.
