This is very productive tool to use. But unfortunately this add-on is not compatible with the latest versions. Is there any plan to release compatible version for thunderbird 3.x. If there is no plan to release, please announce it so, which will help us to look for alternative.

Effective, helpful and easy to use. All that would make it better, besides compatibility with Tbird 3, is an option to crawl the body of an email (to get addresses contained in re-forwards that don't show up in the currently supported fields).

Yes, I've heard good things about this plugin. I just downloaded Thunderbird because of this plugin and then come to find out that it's not supported for v.3 . If you could release it, that would be great!

for a long time, BUT, I have Windows 7, so I had to install Thunderbird 3 and this Add is not working with :( so PLEASE, we need an update! :)

Great Extension! Would be nice if you had the option to ONLY add the contact to a contact book though if it wasn't in any of the other books.

Potentially very useful, but it needs two options: 'save addresses as text file' and 'create mailing list', please. All the addresses I'm looking for (in one folder) are already in my Address Book because I've replied to them individually. Now I want to write to all of them so I need to create a mailing list AND check that I've got all the addresses I want.

I don't find anything like this extension and it saves me lot of time and offers new opportunities.

Its a great job, but if I select to extract the address from the reply-to field it does not work. Instead I get the "from field" address.

Not working presently in 3.0 b2, but I trust that's a matter of syncing with the new version.

But I want it to scan the email's BODY text so I can use it to get a list of all the email addresses which are bouncing from my mailing list, I have a special account for my mailing list.
Also this works fine on TB3 if you edit the .rdf file :)
I wouldn´t recomment doing this. It is not tested thourougly and at least for me its not working.

It provides just what I was looking for: an efficient way of collecting addresses from emails and putting them in useful places.
The idea of using the right mouse button for a context menu is great. It makes for a simple and memorable interface.
It would be handy if it could also create an address book or just a distribution list and add the addresses directly to an address list but perhaps that involves much extra work. As another reviewer said, it works!
Handling addressbooks in TB2 is really painful for extension developers. Thats why they rewrote the whole addressbook API for TB3. Knowing that I am a little bit too lazy to dig too deep into the addressbook handling and am waiting for the first stable of TB3 instead.

I used Eudora for years and never had a address book, don't ask why, last night I switch to thunderbird and i was so happy to find this add-on, so simple, searched over 10,000 emails and filled up my address book with over 3000 emails thank you! :-)

Marcel has provided a solution for Boenisch's problem - I created a "aaaTemp" subfolder and copied the relevant emails there, then right-clicked on aaaTemp to crawl only that folder. By way of preparation, I had created a Temp address book, into which I sent the results, which I then just drag/dropped into a new List. Sure, it would be nice if this was a one-step process, but hey, it works!

It misses option "Reply-To" in "select which fields should be searched". Could it be added?
In other words you can't collect reply-to addresses at all.
Per creare una tua raccolta devi avere un account per Mozilla Add-ons.
