Great work, I love it and I'm glad to have some things back that I was really used to.

Great work on this. I was able to find a lot of good results for non-chlorine bleach through a search query for bleach. I'm sure that it will be just as great for other searches for green, safe, and kid friendly products.

Foxden: Your life on one page

Assegnate 5 su 5 stelle

I'm really enjoying this extension and I'm always finding new implementations for it.

What is possibly even more awesome than Foxden itself is the commitment that the developer (Graham King) has to make this extension one of the best by continuously making improvements to it, fixing any bugs that may occur, and by responding to feedback from Foxden users.

Even with that said, keep in mind that add-on developers cannot accommodate the needs and requests of all of their add-on's users though it never hurts to ask.

No Tooltip Timeout

I love it.
More web developers are stuffing book chapters in title attributes and descriptions so this is very helpful.
It doesn't appear to work on tabs but it still deserves 5 stars.
Great work!

AdViewer

I think that you'd benefit from providing more details on exactly what this extension does, how to use it, and how users can benefit from using it.

I really don't see many people installing it blindly not knowing what they are installing.

Just my opinions.

Vista-IE-7.0-Aero

I've never understood why anyone would want to tarnish their Firefox with anything remotely close to the appearance of IE any version. It's like taking the body of a 1971 Ford Pinto and putting it on the chassis of a Corvette.

IE is a symbol of security vulnerabilities, data loss, time wasted, and yesterday's old and copied technology, and of a company that left their users for dead by not updating IE for years.

I'm sorry for coming off as harsh but I think that your time would be better well spent by developing a new theme for Firefox that would appeal to more users.

And finally, the first F in Firefox is the only one that is capitalized. That's a pet peeve of mine so it's Firefox not FireFox as it is Internet Explorer not InterNet ExPlorer or CaMino.

ToneQuilla

First of all, I have the visual email alert turned off in Thunderbird. I've always found it to be distracting especially since I receive a somewhat high volume of email everyday and I have Thunderbird checking for new mail every minute.
I do however always have my PC's audio on so this add-on is ideal for me.

No longer will I have to stop whatever I may be doing to check the new mail that has just come in only to find that they are of no great importance right now and they do not require immediate attention such as for Google Alerts, forum and post replies etc.

I can setup a sound for any filter that is offered in Thunderbird (which I believe to be the most underused feature) and I'll know exactly what has arrived and whether or not I want/need to stop what I'm doing to go view and respond to that new mail.

Thanks a lot.
Your add-on will allow me to manage my time more efficiently which will increase my productivity with whatever I may be working on.

ToneQuilla greatly enhances Thunderbird and because of that I believe that it will/should become a recommended add-on.

This extension is great. Nice going.
I haven't fully kicked the tires on it yet but it took just seconds to figure out how it works and I like it.
I'd love to be able to use it in Thunderbird 3 (when officially released) so I hope that you keep that in mind.

Image Viewer

Assegnate 5 su 5 stelle

Hey great job on creating this.
It's really quite cool.

You should add to your description that all images can be easily saved by selecting to Save Page As through the Firefox File menu.
You'll end up with other files that you don't want (HTML, CSS, Js etc) but that's not a big deal at all considering that full sized images will all be saved.
That tip adds a lot extra value to Image Viewer.
Perhaps saving all images is something that could be incorporated into future versions but of course use filters to prevent saving unwanted files.
Also I'd love to have a toolbar or status bar button but in any event, this is a great add-on, thanks for putting your time into developing it.

It's very handy.

spheers.com

Beta or not, I fail to see the need to have people install an add-on that is not functional at all.

I'm not quite sure that it is fair to call this a "Beta Release" when apparently the site that it's supposed to work with doesn't even seem to be past an Alpha build.

I'm all for helping out through testing. It's an absolutely essential part of any software's success and that's why I'm here right now but you should at least provide something to test and not claim that your software "Contains functionality".

I'll keep an eye on spheers.com because despite the poor first impression that I got from this add-on, the concept for it and the site has me curious and I'd like to see how they will turn out when they're in working order.

PageTailor

Assegnate 4 su 5 stelle

The concept of site specific settings is a really great idea but it will need a bit of tweaking to make it a little less clumsy to work with.

Perhaps if live (Javascript?) drag and drop viewing were available it may make for a smoother experience because there were a few times that I wanted to move an object and I couldn't determine if I had selected the object properly because the red frame only appeared to show for text and not images and so I was unsure if I had put it in the proper location and I didn't find out until I went to another page and I had carried the image with me to that page and moved it there by mistake.

Granted after using it a few my times I would have probably mastered it, but it really should be made to be easier to arrange things and be more intuitive so that an average end user can just install it and use it and it is worth noting that I used a very simple and small web page to test this.

I didn't have any problem with the idea of there being an extra status bar to operate the add-on, but it probably should minimize to an icon in the default status bar (and use tooltips) because the idea of an extra status bar will be really too different to most people so it's best to stick with tried and true UI methods like a status bar icon, or even by using a toolbar instead of a status bar even though I personally have no problems with the extra status bar to use the add-on.

Again, it's a great idea, I actually love it. It's fun, useful, and it even holds some accessibility values but IMHO, it needs to be a little more user friendly by being more visually responsive if that makes sense to you.

Quicktext

Assegnate 5 su 5 stelle

I love this extension.

I used to have to write a draft email, save it (in Drafts) and then when I wanted to use the text from the draft page that I wrote, I'd have to leave the compose window, go to Drafts open up the draft with the text that I wanted, copy the text, go back to the compose window and paste it.
I could have just said that Quicktext saves me a whole lot of time and trouble, but I wanted to illustrate what a hassle that it was for me to paste frequently used text before I got Quicktext.

As you can plainly see, I have a legitimate need for just such an extension.
I sincerely appreciate the time that you put into it to build and maintain it.

Tabs on Top - Chrome Style

Hey I really don't mean to sound harsh but it's like you blindly uploaded any old file and walked away.
I mean, you didn't even bother to change the file name, just hover over the Add to Firefox button and view the file name in your status bar.

I installed this into a brand new empty profile and there were errors reported immediately and there was no sign that there would be any functionality that would be anything like your description.

If I don't write an honest review then I'd be doing other Firefox users a disservice. I'm just surprised at how blatantly broken it is.

I do wish you luck and I hope that you work things out.

I like the concept and it's simple enough to use.
I hope that in the future you will provide a way to add multiple bookmarks at once.

Lightning

"For the future we are planning to integrate Lightning fully into the upcoming Thunderbird 3 release"
And the World will be a better place because of that. :)

I've used Lightning for just about the same amount of time that it's been available. I've loved it since day one and I'll continue to because it will only get better.

Thanks to all who have contributed to the development and maintenance of Lightning.

I personally do not care for the Vista, IE7, whatever interface but that is no reason to give this add-on a bad review.

I did notice 1 issue that needs to be addressed and 2 others that should be addressed.
The first is that you have one of Ed Hume's theme screen shots in the add-ons manager as a preview instead of one of Michelle. I'm guessing that it is a screen shot of what used to be named SphereGnome but it has since renamed to Aeon by Mr. Hume.

Another issue is that you provide credit for Ken Lynch
but not Ed Hume. Mr. Hume did take over for Ken Lynch but since then Mr. Hume has maintained and dumped a lot work and time into them pretty much making them his own. I don't see any of the Aeon elements in this theme but if you say that they are there, then they are.
The last thing isn't a huge problem but it would complete the theme if you were to skin the Options manager.

All in all, it's much better than I could ever do myself and I think that it's great that you decided to share what you made for yourself.

Oh, and perhaps adding a screen shot or two of your theme for this page would be helpful in getting others to try it.
