I love the product just wish that when I came back after a wakeup that I didn't have to quit thunderbird and restart it to get reconnected to my google calendars. I haven't given up yet, but it is getting quite annoying to have to do this 5 times a day. I have reported this issue before on other versions and still no fixy.
Thunderbird: 7.0.1
Lightning: 1.0b7
PfGC: v 0.8

Works but asks for Google Username and Password. Should really use Oauth

I'm using this addon with TBird 3 on Ubuntu and TBird 6 on Win7 and it works flawlessly. I don't use many of the more arcane features, but I've got multiple calendars updated from a lot of devices and it keeps track of it all.

Version 0.8 not compatible with Thunderbird 3.1.9 Linux.

I want to love this app and in fact, I do b/c it makes Lightning seamless with Android phones. BUT, I feel like there's a memory leak (on Mac) b/c when I run it, my TB/Lightning goes from ~350MB RAM to almost 900MB RAM. I've tested it with only TB/Lightning and then tested it with TB/Lightning/Provider. Good idea, but major RAM suck!

Thank you very much for this nice add-on!
It works very nice, but the inability to handle event invitations properly is a real spoiler for me.
I would like to add invitations at work to my google calendar, but it is not possible to save it directly.
- I can edit it and save it to the google calendar. But then it will invite all participants again with me as organizer!
- If I turn this behaviour off, it'll not send out invitation confirmations, even if I don't even save the event to the google calendar.
I've read that the problem arises from a bug in the google calendar. But it should be possible to just turn off invitation for google events. Or is there?
Working on making invitations work, almost there :-)

Please do an update for those of us using the Lunix versions. Currently 3.1.12 is not supported.
Questa recensione riguarda una versione precedente (0.8) del componente aggiuntivo. What Linux distribution are you coming from that still makes use of tb3.1.12 ? You need to look for the "Older Versions" link on the provider page, as addons.mozilla.org only allows one version to be shown at a time. Due to platform changes I can only support a few versions at a time.

Does not work in the latest Thunderbird version 3.1.12. Please upgrade as I need to view multiple calendars.

It works perfectly, and I couldn't live without this add-on. I recommend it to everyone who wants to keep their calendars synchronised.
The only thing that would complete it is support for Tasks, but I note that it's being worked on already.

it doesn't work on any of my 3 machines. No new items appiares in the file\new menu. It would be nice to have such feature as decribed.

Loving it! Having all in Thunderbird for me is a blessing (Gmails, Calendars) I'm just missing the Task which I know you are working on. Keep it on! Great Job!

Thanks for your super Add-on! I like it very much. Easy to use, but I have a question. Can you make the same for Zoho Calendar. I mean also a provider for Thunderbird. Zo I can use Zoho & Google calendar in Thunderbird.
I didn't saw any pm possibility, so I did it this way. Like to hear from you so i can set up an account for you.
Hi! Unfortunately I will not be creating a further extension that works with Zoho since creating a provider to perfection is a substantial amount of work. But, this doesn't mean there will be no chance! Take a look at: https://forums.zoho.com/topic/caldav-support it looks like Zoho is working on CalDAV support, which is supported natively within Lightning. Maybe you can ask them to give an update on their current status.

This addon worked very well but since a few days, it started to ask my password(s?) for each calendar. Even if I checked the remember box, it doesn't remember anything.
I make a rate of 4/5 because I used it since the beginning and I love it.

I love this addon! It can be greater if there is a sync for offline use!

I suggest/support 3 future developments :1) a real sync. - i.e. a local copy of the agenda to work off line (it might be already available ?)2) a sync. of the tasks3) a better integration of the alerts.
Edit : revised based on Philipp's answer
A real sync is already possible using the Experimental Cache feature of Lightning. I am working on Task Sync, bear with me. Also, the alert integration is something to be solved in Lightning itself and not in the provider. I'd appreciate if you could revise your review based on this! Thanks :)
