To those who can't live without this addon in FF 3.5
You should know that if you ctrl+drag the tab to empty space (to the right of the tab) it will duplicate it with history. correct me if I am wrong.

I agree. I'm giving it five stars based on past performance - now c'mon, please update for FF3.5. It's the right thing to do.

Made to work with 3.5.1 without any problems (method as oobidoobbanoobi describes in the comments below)

For those that don't know:
1: Download [don't install] and change the extension from xpi to zip
2: Modify install.rdf so that: 3.5.* - 2a: Rezip if you unzipped to make the change
3: Change the extension back to xpi
4: Drag and drop your modified xpi to a Firefox window... And install... Restart... Done

One of the best... but needs upgraded. I wish Firefox would just integrate this into the browser as it's one of the most useful addons there is.

Here, here. A fantastic add-on; probably my most used... Yes, I know FF 3.5.1 has a keyboard work around but that's not much use when my keyboard spends most of its time leaning against my sofa, not on my lap...
I've had compatibility issues with add-ons when upgrading FF previously; it's a shame FF doesn't seem to let me know about the add-on compatibility issues until after instalation...otherwise I probably wouldn't have upgraded yet, I'd have waited till the software runs and does what I want it to........+ the seemingly, randomly placed immovable "new tab" button...

I have to add my voice to those requesting this - I hate using the keyboard unnecessarily. DT is so much easier to use. I even registered to make this comment!

Additionally, Firefox updates should inform which add-ons will not work with the update. Personally, when FF reaches the point that all my add-ons work, I will never update again. Not what the developers are aiming at, I'm sure.

We love you! Your fans are waiting patiently!! I too am lost without it!! It's driving me crazy because the ctl-drag doesn't work (Im on a mac and my ctl key is equiv to right click).

Firefox 3.5 provided native tab duplication by holding Ctrl and using mouse to drag the tab to be duplicated to a desired location. Not as convenient as Duplicate Tab's key sequence approach but may work for you guys before an update is available.

This should be a standard feature! I've been using it for a long time, and now it doesn't work in 3.5 - sad :-(
Please upgrade this wonderful extension.....

No kidding! Somebody get hot on a 3.5 upgrade! Why this isn't a default feature is Microsofty to me.

In FF 3.5, you can open a duplicate tab by holding Ctrl and dragging the tab to an empty place on the tab bar. You can also open the tab in a new window by dragging it into the content area.

Mike DePetris has also released a 3.5-compatible version of this add-on, which you can find on one of the add-on's MozillaZine pages:

I think he's simply changed the FF version number in its script, but I've installed it and it works great.
