One of my 'can't live without it' addons... Until I found "Save Images" addon...
If you;
- Want toolbar button functionality instead of context menu
- Work mainly with images instead of massive links
- Want more options within the user interface
Then you're urged to switch to "Save Images" although Linky is still good and have unique features...

To make this work with 3.5, download this bugfix.

Linky does NOT work with 1Password. It will disable keyboard shortcuts (including copy, but not paste). Unfortunately, it's one or the other.
So, I have it disabled since I require 1Password, but I so miss it. I hope a new version will fix this problem.

Very useful and effective add-on. Definitely recommend it especially if opening excessively long lists of links individually annoys you like it does me.

One of the most useful plugins for exploring resource sites, like categorized links collections or forums

This was on of my all-time favourite, really a must-have for me - its simple yet very useful and click-saving functionality. When it ever gets an update / fix, try it!
For now just 1 star from me, instead of 5...

this extension wud be very useful if it really does what it claims to do. in particular it does not display "all images in one tab".
for the bug fix do install the update from
http://www.smart-roadster-club.de/off-topic/mozilla/extensions/linky/
it increases the link habdling power to 999 and also address the issue of "all images in one tab" .. this is the same issue as raised by shahsank

I will give it a 4 as i am not able to make use of "open images in one tab feature". If this feature works with all the webpages it is a sure 5+ addon.

I like this extension very much to say the least, but why limit this to 99 links at a time? I find this downright annoying, this should at least be change-able somewhere, if someone overloads their browser by opening too many links thats their own fault, there shouldn't be a superimposed limit like this.

Hi. I'm hoping Stefan or another savvy poster can help with this.
I'm running Thunderbird TB 2.0 and Firefox FF 3.0.1. By default TB is configured to open a new tab in the current FF window in response to clicking a URL link in a TB message. Sometimes this is exactly what I wish to do, but often it's not. When I right-click the link, there are no acceptable additional options presented in the context menu, as in SeaMonkey.. I've tried many approaches to remedy this. None work so far
I installed Linky 2.7.1 (linky-2.7.1-fx+mz+ns+nv+tb.xpi) as a TB add-on. This was immediately suspect because the latest revision date is March 2006 and it claims to work with TB 0.5 - 3.0a2pre! Nevertheless I installed it in TB2. It appears to be installed properly and there is a configuration window appearing under Extension Options for Linky which appear to work. So with some surprise and disappointment I can see NO changes or additional functionality offered in the TB message viewing window/pane. The right click context menu is no different from the default.
So I happily discovered Stefan's highly acclaimed new revision Linky 2.7.2.6 (linky-2.7.2.6-fx+mz+sm.xpi) on the Thunderbird Add-Ons Linky review page. Repeat: Thunderbird Add-on page. But now I see something isn't making sense. When I go to Stefan's page at http://www.smart-roadster-club.de .... I see this: "Works with: Firefox 1.0 - 3.0 Beta 5 (and hopefully 3.0 Final also), Mozilla Suite 1.0 - 1.7, SeaMonkey 1.0 - 2.0a1pre (and hopefully 2.0 final also).
FF 3.0.1 is not listed, and there is NO THUNDERBIRD compatibility claimed at all. Nevertheless, I attempt to install it in TB2 and yes, it was an impossible dream. "Linky 2.7.2.6 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Thunderbird."
Is this everyone's experience, or am I doing something wrong? Turns out I CAN successfully install Linky in FF3, which is very nice, but doesn't solve my primary problem with TB. I have Nightly Tester Tools - perhaps I can override this - but I think I tried that and it didn't work.
I also tried installing a different TB extension "URL Link 2.02.2" for TB which does not seem to work either. It installs in TB, allows the setting of options, but there are no new choices presented in the right-click context menu.
Just tried installing Launchy 2.7.1 (TB add-on from same original developer) to see if its a possible workaround to enable choice of opening either tab or window in FF3, etc. Can't see how to do it so far. Launchy also appears a bit buggy. It appears correctly in the right-click context menu when right clicking a link - but only in the message pane view - beneath the main message list - NOT at all in the individual message view window (the one opened when a message from the main list is double clicked.)
Most of the other TB extensions seem to work OK.
Sorry about the density above. I'll be very greatful if anyone knows a simple solution.
(B.T.W. in order to get this listed at all I had to choose a rating - so I'll say 4 stars - in the hope it will eventually work great. Also could not post this as a "bug report" as advised since Stefan's extension is not supported by the original Linky developer.)
