FYI: I have reached out to John Beiling, a listed contributor of Xpunge, to attempt to give my revision to the OG developers/contributors and have decided to give them a few weeks to respond.

If they do not, I will do a complete rewrite of it all and release it as a completely new extension... name, code, graphics, licensing and all.

Standby for updates at the beginning of September 2026. I have a GitHub repo and may launch it there.

The latest revision of Xpunge Custom Revival is 5.1.0... it has been tested and works beautifully. I still have not had any response from Theodore so I am considering a TOTAL rewrite of the extension to post here (with a new name, icons, etc.).

Please comment if you are interested in a new version and I will do my best to make it a reality since it appears Theodore is no longer interested.

Theodore... I have successfully modified the implementation.js and manifest.json to work with the latest version of Thunderbird. It is called Xpunge Custom Revival 5.03 and want to send it to you! I DO NOT want any credit! It is my FREE gift to yo for your efforts over the years! I pray you are not irritated at my efforts to get this working as I felt naked without this awesome extension! THANKS!
