I'm currently stuck on Thunderbird 139 because the Xpunge add‑on no longer works with newer TB versions, and it’s essential for me. According to the add‑on page, Xpunge is broken on TB 140+ due to Bug 1977840, and I'm wondering whether the workaround mentioned in comment #13 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1977840#c13) of that Bugzilla ticket might allow Xpunge to be re‑enabled for newer Thunderbird versions. If not, what alternatives exist that can empty all trash/junk folders and compact all folders across accounts with a single action?

Just to get this add-on back, I reverted from TB 148 to 139.
With 139, there might be more security threats, but so in WIN10, but I'm staying with these. :)
BTW, In 139, I also got back LookOut (fix version). It's a win-win.
And, I donated the Author. This app is so awesome. The coders need to get some food on the table, too. And a cup of coffee. So donate. Don't just take advantage of someone else's work.

This is a very useful plugin for those of us who have multiple mail accounts in Thunderbird and like to keep the folders compacted. I would say I used to use it more than any other TB plugin. However, it has been broken since TB 140 by a problem in the TB code itself. Apparently, one developer identified the likely issue, but, as far as I can tell, there has been no effort to fix it. I hope this can get some attention. I would even advocate putting this function into TB itself.

Cuanto echo de menos este complemento. Sin duda es uno de los esenciales. Siguiendo los enlaces que ha publicado su autor, parece que la solución para su funcionamiento en la versión actual de TB se antoja compleja y llevará su tiempo. Aun así, seguiré esperando con ganas la siguiente versión. Muchas gracias al autor por todos sus esfuerzos.

This extension was working very well until I updated TB to version 140.0. Please update it so that it works with that version+ Thanks.
Tutón wužiwar ma 2 staršej pohódnoćeni tutoho přidatka.Xpunge is not compatible with TB 140.0, because TB 140 has a bug that has broken some of the functionality of MultiXpunge.
After this bug is fixed in TB, I will need to do more tests to see if there are any other issues.

The add-on works but it is VERY slow compared to previous versions (for TB 115 and lower). It seems to "visit" every folder in an account instead of just working on "trash" and "junk."
Can you please use the "Support E-mail" and send me an email, so we can look into this issue together with more information/details?

Thunderbird 136 breaks add-on.

This is on the Desktop Release channel (not the ESR channel), which is now the default TB download. Thunderbird 136 is the latest release there.

Theodore - You should contact whoever maintains this Addon site to request that your 'most recent addon version' of Xpunge be shown as a 'Featured' and a 'Newest' addon on the web page. Otherwise, no one will know Xpunge is compatible with the latest Thunderbird release.
The Xpunge addon is too good to be hidden from Thunderbird users!

BTW I've tried making a donation with both Credit Card method and PayPal method but for some reason it keeps saying it won't accept payments from New Zealand.
