Great little program I have used it for a few years now, was upset it did not work on FF4 then I found the version 1.3.9 on his website that is working for me.

Very nice extension, but in FF4 has an issue:
initially, the page http://bankir.ru appears on a couple of seconds, then cleaned and left empty :(
If you turn off Thorough mode, everything works as expected.

Exactly the same problem occurs in FF4 with MR Tech Link Wrapper add-on.

Version 1.3.9 on addons webpage works for me with FF4.0.

This addon makes surfing easier, don't want to be without it. Thanks for this! :)

1.3.9 is working good in Fx 4.0. The only thing I am missing is support of the addon bar.

* Despite what the description says, the author's contact page does not work. I have tried it repeatedly to no avail -- it just returns me to the main page.
* In version 1.3.9 in Firefox 4, the status bar icon's context menu has no background color (i.e. it's transparent), making it impossible to see the menu text. This problem has persisted for quite some time and it would be nice if it were fixed at some point.
* The extension doesn't take advantage of the Firefox 4 add-on bar (no icon is added to the Customize Toolbar window), meaning the Organize Status Bar extension is required to arrange its status icon.
* The two quirks and no way to request support aside, Linkification remains an excellent and versatile tool for conveniently opening plain text links.

@Kougeru - agreed. Whats the deal here fellas, I need this feature on my FF.?? I think fastest fox has this feature but its too heavy of an extension for my needs. Let me know if anyone has found a suitable alternative.

I don't know what hikodna is talking about, I have add-on compat reporter and FF4 (newest), this add-on still doesnt work. I fear it wont either since he hasnt been updated in over a year at all. If anyone has alternatives please tell me, I love this add-on and prefer that they update but if not...

For those who want it, just install Add-on Compatibility Reporter before trying to install Linkification, then you'll be able to install it.

this is the most needed add-on to have if you like to use a download manager to get files from the web.

Great addon 99% of the time. Strangely, it causes a problem when viewing WoW Armory pages (and possibly other sites as well). See http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1406227739 and http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1083611462

One of the more useful extensions out there! Not sure why it hasn't been updated here yet, but there's a newer version that's been made compatible with FF4 here: http://yellow5.us/firefox/linkification/ [developer's website]. Still working great.
