You figured it out! I don't use the menu bar (or bookmarks or tool bar) and just about all the themes out there look craptastic with such a reduced profile like mine: the other designs won't fit properly in such a narrow space.
BUT YOU MADE THE PERFECT THEME FOR A SKINNY TOP BAR!

Glass - Black

When enabled, the gloss effect is evident but there isn't enough *black* showing. The inactive tabs show grey and the active tab with tool bar shows the gloss gradation, with grey predominating.
The end result is a theme that is LIGHTER than the preview picture conveys. That's a deal breaker for me. I *need* a dark UI to cut down the glare.

I'm looking for a replacement for zigboom's Blackfox V2-Blue. Looking for a compact bar and tab design in a dark theme. This one is a lovely design but it was too bright--hurt my eyes. I can't use it but I'm sure others can and will love it.
