I cannot understand the bad reviews at all. I'm not a developer as well but I'm able to read better than the average yak and the instructions on the FAQ are absolutely foolproof and detailed.

I am not a developer. I have spent nearly an hour getting this addon installed and I still have no instruction on how to set it up to read my Lightning calendars on Google. There are clear instructions about bug reporting, which is worrying. but the same pages offer no clue on set up. Is this app for developers only?

I thought the calandar in Thunderbird would be useful, but I find I have to log in everytime I start Thunderbird. I have 3 different accounts that sync, and it's just time consuming and inconvenient to log in every time I use it. I believe I'm going to uninstall. If there was a single login that could be used for all accounts and work with Roboform, I would use it.

Solved: I've uninstalled then reinstalled the extension, it signed again to my Google account and now it's working.

Even though this add on is enabled, since installing thunderbird 68, it no longer pulls in my Google calendars. Pisses me off when Thunderbird updates and breaks everything that was working perfectly. I am clueless on how to get this to work again.

Funktioniert unter TB 60.8.0 einwandfrei, unter TB 69 Beta 3 jedoch noch nicht, aber das wird sicher bis zur Veröffentlichung von TB 69 noch gemacht werden.

its not working in thunderbird 60.8.0 every time i open thunderdbird he ask for mij google mail and password. Close thunderbird and restart tahubnderbird and i have to do the same again . Last version is garrbitch

fonctionne bien avec tb 60.8.0 sous W10 mais ne fonctionne pas avec la même version sous ubuntu 19.04, rien n’apparaît, pas de menu, pas de configuration.

Thunderbird gets completely frozen and won't start, when i activate this addon. Sadly all my calenders do not show up without it.

This is a great add-on for the default Lightning calendar, but as of today (20 June, but probably earlier) the add-on requires me to logon EVERY time I load up Thunderbird. This is pretty much a no-go for myself with about 6 different calendars, and a 20 character password. Must try harder!
(edit) After several tests, it seems that updating must have screwed something up, but uninstalling the provider, then re-installing it, seems to fix it.

Thunderbird 60.7 Provider 4.1
How can I uninstall Provider? I can only disable it. I don't want anything that's got to do with Google on my PC.

I enjoy what this add-on can provide however there is enough "wrong" with it to write a review. I have two installs of Thunderbird, One I have kept up to date and is running the latest version of the software with the latest add-ons. The other is quite old around version 30.
The provider on my old version works how I would expect, I open Thunderbird/Lightning and I can interact with my calendar.
This provider version 4.4.x appears to REQUIRE that I login to Google EVERYTIME prompting a notification from google due to their security alerts. Of course once I have logged in everything works fine, no complaints about burning CPUs or the typical (Oh my TB/Lightning updated now the add-on stopped working)
Legit:I am reasonable, there could be a problem with my particular install, maybe there is some permission that needs to be changed, I really don’t know however, with this review I am demanding that persistent login be enabled to make this Add-on is aces, otherwise it is just cheap nagware with no option to stop the nagging.

causes thunderbird to lock up and burn cpu. I kill with task manager. I have now deleted this add on

Works very well. A life saver - I now can sync Tasks across various devices without being locked into a platform.
