Using Windows 10 & Thunderbird 102.7.1 (64-bit) this does absolutely nothing. No changes whatsoever. Bummed...

Worked very nicely until my machine died. After installing TB and my profile to a backup machine, MBA started giving me trouble in the form of an error, something about couldn't find Thunderbird.exe.
This bad behavior has continued to a new machine fresh install and successful profile backup. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling MBA, but no go. The addon is unusable for me unless someone has a fix. I'm *forced* to give it a rating, so 2 for now. Would change to either 4 or 5 were this fixed.
It's a shame the developer doesn't seem to want any contact.

Version 0.30 and Thunderbird 102.6.0 (64-bit)
When creating a new Mailbox Alert to override the specific inbox sound the wav always makes a weird hissing sound at the end (if you play the same wav in a player, the hissing is not present). I've tested with several wav files and they all make the hissing.

Something’s strange.
AddOn works fine, does exactly what I set. But in too special cases, there is no original TB icon staying, to say left over, in systray.
So I missed mails with some importance.
Well, it does happen on minimum three (seems four) machines in same manor, so no profile can be reason.
I notice it to a specific alert, others (being my ›standards‹; hopefully all…) work as expected (sound and animation - and icon of TB).
Being not blind, I see two times same animation as overlay. One within TB window, one with edge of screen.
Something’s not as planned, I assume.

Freshly installed v0.30 on TB 102.4.2/Ubuntu, and after configuration it does exactly what I'd hoped: notifies me (via system popup, plus a custom .wav file sound) of incoming emails in a specific account only.

Version 0.30 is available in "View other versions". Works on TB 102. Still has some issues I wish could be resolved, but at least it works.

Have been using it for years ( I have been using TB since it was first split away from Mozilla on both unix and windows platforms.) Brilliant add-on which really ought to built in to TB. Has worked fine with TB 91x and earlier versions. But I upgraded to 102.0.3 and guess what. It doesn't work now. Have followed instructions on persuading it that it is compatible but no joy. So I deinstalled it in safe mode, rebooted TB and then tried to reinstall with the latest from here. Now It says "Mailbox Alert could not be installed because Thunderbird cannot modify the needed file." So plan B. I downloaded the mailbox_alert-0.29.1-tb.xpi file and tried to install that. This time it says "Mailbox Alert could not be installed because it is not compatible with Thunderbird 102.0.3". So something TB's software engineers have done has broken it.

it would be useful if deleting the messages in the popup they are placed in the trash as already read.

This Add-on is amazing. Easy to use and setup. It performed a command alert to open a script upon receiving new email. Fantastic!

De/EU Für jedes E-Mail-Konto ein anderer eigene/r Ansage/Ton/sound. Optische Anzeige als "Toast"-Textfeld. Nette und praktische Erweiterung für TB.

En/Brexitania For each email account a different own greeting/sound/sound. Visual display as a "toast" text box. Nice and practical extension for TB.

Addon does not work in TB 91.1.0 (64-bit):
- settings dialog is opened;
- test popup message for filter is displayed;
- no popup message appears when alert is triggered (it's the problem)

Could use some other ways to access the settings and indicate where to bring those up such as under the add-ons listing page in thuderbird. -1 star.
Would like a checkbox to repeat sounds (1 per email) but when more then 3 sounds in a row, it plays 5 of the sound but partially overlapping so you know many happened without playing a huge sequence of sounds > 3 emails. I'm not talking about other mailboxes those shouldn't overlap.
Don't know if possible, but it allows sounds on Sent but they never triggered for me.

Using v0.27 on T/bird v88.0b2 (windows 10 64-bit). When first installed, going to Tools > Edit Mailbox Alert alerts shows Default Message and Default Sound which I have edited to suit. Every time T/bird is closed and reloaded a new pair of defaults appears below the existing alerts and I start getting double messages and double sounds when a message arrives. There is no response when I highlight and click delete. Be good if this could be solved as it is a vary handy add-on.

While I have to say that this is an awesome plugin and give it 5 stars it unfortunately seems to not be able to accomplish what I actually want. Not the fault of the plugin at all. But maybe this could be added:
I don't actually want to replace the notification popup or the sound and would rather be able to deactivate that functionality of the plugin. All I want is to silence mails on filter conditions - mainly after moving them to subfolders by said filters. Nothing more.
To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
