Wow, this addon is exactly what I was looking for. And I love all the options that make it incredibly customizable. Thank you!

Sorry but this add-on is not working with the pages i have captured with 'ScrapBook' add-on.

Please fix this bug.
I have thousands of pages captured with 'ScrapBook' and i want to use this add-on to extract the images from the captured pages.

I am waiting for update .......

Have been using it for few days and it's pretty great.
You could add a feature which would automatically download the images when the page if fully loaded. That would be pretty cool!

I have been using this add-on for a couple of years now and consider it part of my "essential" browsing experience. Anyone who cruises image boards or blogs would be well served to have this extension. I see some negative reviews but can't help but to wonder the extent that they are PEBKAC / 1d10t errors. The add-on is quite feature rich, very straightforward and fairly robust. I have it set up so that I hit a hotkey and it saves all the images in all the tabs to the right of the current tab. Surfing through image boards I can quickly find myself saving files by the thousands without much real effort on my part. I think I have saved about a quarter to a half million images with this tool in a year. With this add-on it is easier to save the files than it is to figure out what you have saved.

I would love to see two very minor improvements though. Right now you can open all the visible image links in a tab and THEN choose to save them. A way to skip this step would be nice: Hit a hotkey and it just goes and saves all the images it currently can without taking the step of opening them in a tab. Currently when you open a large folder of images if it is too many or too large of images it can seriously slow your system down and/or crash it when you run out of RAM. If it just saved the files without viewing them the number of items resident in RAM at a given moment could be severely cut down.

Similarly I would love to see a feature / mode of the plug-in that just automatically saves EVERY image that fits the save specifications without being prompted.

I guess I would also like to be able to decode the error messages it pops up and be able to warn me if the add-on is not finished saving files when I go to exit FF but those are minor items.

At any rate a lovely plugin. I have tried to replace / supplement it with other bulk image saving methods with nothing else being as convenient as this one.

0.6.8 is not working on a Mac. You end up in a loop and you have to kill Firefox to get out of the Options menu

please consider my suggestions.

----6 Essential Functions for an Image Saving Add-on----

1. It must allow defining multiple folders as destination folder and these folders will show in the context menu.
2. It must allow setting rules for renaming the image file (as in "save image in folder" add-on)
3. It must allow using clipboard content for renaming the file (as in "save image in folder" add-on)
4. It must allow each destination folder to have its own renaming rules (as in "save image in folder" add-on)
5. It must find out the the type of the image even it is named as "unknown.ext"
6. It must allow user to have a "save button" or "save toolbar" when hoovering the image. (as in "image fetcher" and "image toolbar" add-ons)

i hope the author can improve the add-on by including my suggestions.

Imprescindible, uno de los complementos que hacen que hacen que merezca la pena utilizar Firefox en lugar de otros navegadores .

using default settings as a trial...
This add-on works Perfectly!
javascript image enlargers and views > click next over and over, then alt+i (page info) > media> scroll to image > save... blah...
Not anymore, opens All the images in tabs if you want...
Nice.

This is an elegant solution for those sites which provide links to images as .html rather than .jpeg etc.,but I'd love to know how to increase the number of save folders from the default 10,to maybe 20,or even 30,which is easily done in other d/l extensions such as dta,via about:config.

Blisset yep that way we don't have to worry about waiting for Image toolbar to support Firefox 4. Either way it doesn't matter to me but in my personal opinion whoever is first will get the most users. Not sure if that even matters though. I like both addons to be honest.

Great, but to be perfect you should add a feature to save the image over the mouse pointer. When I over the image should appear a icon to save that image only.
If you add this then the add on will be PERFECT.
Thank you

Works great, even managed to save pics embedded in Java. Though I just have one request. Can you add the context menu when I right click the tab bar instead of the page. Thanks

I was thinking that this addon could save ALL the pics on a website but it saves only pics on 1 page. Useless for what it needed. Do you know any free software to download all the photos of a website ? Thanks.

DownThemAll
is simpler and easier to install and use and it provides the buttons.
Plus it downloads full size images, not the small pre-views in the cache

Very handy and fully adjustable add-on. The problem of rapid saving images (just the way I need) appears to be solved. Two thumbs up!

This add-on pops up more errors than it saves images. I requested Mozilla to take this crap off the add-ons pages.
