My Reviews

Buuf for Firefox 2

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

For an icon only theme, this does it's job good. Hopefully this will spawn ideas for someone (including the theme author) to do more with this theme (i.e. mostly/fully skinning this), even if it means making a spin-off. I give a 8 out of 10 for now.

Metal blue

This theme, even though not polished yet, is shaping up to be horrible with the badly colored toolbar buttons against the dark blue background. Plus did the theme author get permission from TwisterMC to use his themes as a base? I give this a 0...out of 10. I recommend to this theme author to go back to the drawing board on this theme's concepts...Because they aren't really being executed well currently.

Cylence Theme (for Firefox 2)

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Excellent variant of the Firefox 2 default theme. Sadly this is the only one out of the Cylence series I like. But anyways, I give this Cylence a 8 out of 10. Good job.

Nerrot

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

The concept of this is like an enhanced version of iFox-Smaragd. But Nerrot conflicts with iFox-Smaragd. Nerrot also has incompatibilities in regards with Tab Mix Plus and this theme is missing it's RSS Feedview. There are no drop markers for the toolbar icons either and the Bookmarks Toolbar Icon needs fixing. Finally the URL bar, Go button, and search bars aren't fully polished yet. I give a three for now. I like the idea, but it's not being properly executed currently.

iSafari_Midnight

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's a start, but there are still cons in this theme and other areas of this theme aren't fully polished yet. The cons include Firefox's RSS Feedview not working and on the tab bar, the close tab button disappears on hover and doesn't appear on background tabs. Also open pictures cause it to break the favicon display on open tabs. To conclude, this gets a 6 out of 10.

Abacus

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Nothing has been done except the main navigational buttons and the toolbar buttons. So since it's a work-in-progress, I'll give a 5 now. The score will go up when this theme becomes more/fully skinned.

ShadowThunder III Glacier

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Interesting idea, but the icons just kill this theme for me. Just like in all the other ShadowThunder themes. And that's why I give this a 3. A rainbow approach to the icons just doesn't work for me.

INpact Light Orange

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love Light Orange! The silver and orange is such a nice combination in this theme. And plus now I don't have to use the Jedi throbber now while other people can enable it if they want it by themselves! I give this a 10! Excellent work!

INpact Dark Orange

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Yanno, at first I was sad to see the old version's looks go, but I've warmed up to this. This is a good dark and orange theme! I'll give this a 10! Good work!

Update Notifier

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Great add-on for keeping up with any updates to your currently installed add-ons! Nobody should be without this!

TryAgain

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Ever get to a website you know works, but isn't up currently--perhaps due to server trouble or something? Well if a webpage fails to load, TryAgain will keep auto-refreshing the page for you until the page loads or you get sick of waiting and call TryAgain off. Very useful add-on!

Show Image

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Show Image 0.4.2 is on the author's website. That's the version with Firefox 2 support. Anyways, why isn't this a part of Firefox's default options? Show Image lets you reload images that failed to load without having to reload the page you're on. Very handy! I give this a 10. Great add-on!

Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great add-on to Adblock Plus. This allows you to hide certain text elements on pages, whether they'd be text ads or somebody's moron post on a forum you go to. But I caution you all. If you're careless with this add-on, you may block more than what you like with this. I once tried to block an advertising table cell with this and it blocked most of the table cells on the page instead.

PC INpact Light Orange

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I loved Black, but this theme still needs polish. First off, Light Orange isn't as flashy as Black was. Oh yeah. Just like in Black, the Star Wars smilies throbber has got to go. So I give a 8 for now.

ShadowThunder III Typhoon

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Interesting idea, but the icons alternate colors too randomly when you're hovering over an active icon. As if the author was trying to "rainbowize" his icons. And that's why I give this a 3. A rainbow approach just doesn't work for me.

Amethyst Firefox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just like Ruby Firefox, this theme is also a great color variation of Cobalt Firefox. If you loved Ruby, you should give Amethyst a spin. You can't go wrong. At worst, you'd just have to uninstall this if this theme isn't up to your tastes. Anyways this gets a 10. This and Ruby Firefox both deserve passage to the public side of AMO.

Cobalt Firefox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Abstract PC may have been it's inspiration, but this theme can stand on it's own as a spin-off. If you liked Abstract PC, try this spin-off. You can't go wrong. At worst, you'll only need to uninstall it if this theme ain't to your liking. Anyways, I give this a 10. Fine theme.

Ruby Firefox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is an excellent color variant of Cobalt Firefox. If you never did like the blue color used for Cobalt Firefox, perhaps the red of Ruby Firefox is for you! But if not, then maybe you're outta luck unless the theme author feels like making more color variants. Just like Cobalt Firefox before it, I give Ruby Firefox a 10. Great color variant theme!
