Hurray! I don't have to use Opera for the speed dial function. I've been looking for something like this but have been too lazy to search. Anyway, everything about this add-on is perfect. I especially love the 'crop' feature. Very, very useful.

This add-on is extremely great. My only problem is that I can't use Ctrl-0 to access a 10th dial, I have do Ctrl-1-0.

I'll start by saying that this is a VERY useful extension. If you don't have Fast Dial, definitely take Speed Dial.
That said I won't switch to Speed dial yet. The ability to add groups of dials is very useful, but for me Speed Dial should have always been like a telephone: to access an emergency service you type 911, for information you type 101 etc.
How could that be done here, on FireFox? You would be able to create sub-pages or sub-dials. You could register a page as "1-3", in other words 13. Once the number 1 would be entered in the address bar, a new set of dials would appear below it.
With this system, typing 1 then enter would take you to the page "1" and typing 13 then enter would take you to the page registered as "1-3".
Even if limited to a combination of 3 numbers (like 101 or 911 or 245, etc), you would be able to save a total of 9x9x9 = 729 pages!
P.S: the option "Load in new blank tabs" should be pre-checked" in my opinion. People would get more use out of the program and enjoy it more.
EDIT: Actually, Fast Dial has groups which is REALLY great but they don't combine it with a shortcut for each page.

Хорошо продумали дополнение, особенно понравилась возможность кадрировать изображение.
Было бы удобней еслибы было несколько страниц, как в Exel, тогда я бы забыл про закладки вообще

I love this extention. There are only a few things that keeps it from being the perfect extention. 1: A more fluid motion when moving dials like the motion in fast dial has. Moving them in real time. 2: The ability to add custom backgrounds to speed dial and not just groups but even if there was just one simple set of 6. 3: Having better color choices with a little more glossy feeling or a glass like quality like Mac icons have. And one more thing that would be nice is to change the background color without creating groups. All in all a great addon that I knew as soon as I saw it I had to install it. I found it by accident clicking on the group it was in on the new add on site. Thanks for the great addon. Keep up the great work.

An excellent find. I don't use the preview dial but love having the drop down menu. I have both automatic load options off but when I have no tabs opened speed dial opens automatically in a tab - I do use tab mix plus with the hide tab bar when only one tab open option turned off.

I\'m a first time Speed Dial user and I love the concept.\r\n\r\nI wish each group could be independent from the others. Currently if I change my layout from 3x3 to 4x4, all group layouts change to 4x4, and several thumbs/dials from my 2nd group get sucked into my first group, and so on...\r\n\r\nAnother big time saving feature would be: if Speed Dial could read my current list of bookmarks, which is well organized, and automatically create groups based on my bookmark folders, with automatic thumbs/dials for each site in each folder. I am spending a great deal of time setting these up manually when it could be automated.\r\n\r\nThanks!

It would have been 10 out of 10, except for a very annoying bug? It sort of part disables the full functionality of my Ai-Roboform. It will not fill all my logins forms, passwords, as it did before I installed speed dial, but after disabling speed dial to test this, my roboform worked perfect again.
Hope that this bug is fixed asap, so that I can give it 10/10

Feature request: Everytime I open a new tab, speed dial automatically updates the thumbnail. This is a nice feature unless some of the sites are password protected or are email. Then, the thumbnail updates to a waiting screen, or an access denied screen. Can you add an option to turn that auto update off? Then, when I want to refresh a thumbnail, I'll just use the refresh button for it.
Other than that, keep up the good work.

Good addon, but not as fast as fast dial. Not always, but sometimes, when refreshed, the thumbnails remain blank instead of showing a preview image. I have used both speed dial and fast dial. I did not face any such problem with fast dial.

Since I tested it for uptodown.com/en SpeedDial is my homepage.
It's great, you can see your favorite websites before accessing them.
Finally, we have decided to give it our Editors Choice Award.

Very nice. It's a very cool feature in Opera; it's great to have it in ff too.

This is a wonderful extension. The recent added capability of grouping speed dials is incredibly useful. Drag and drop organization of groups, sizing of thumbnails makes accessing your most used Web pages beautifully simple. A real time saver. I anticipate using Speed Dial instead of FF's built in book marks as soon as I can get them all organized.
The only downside I can think of (which isn't a problem for me) is that configuring it might be a little difficult for newer users. My suggestion for new users is not to miss out on this extension. Check in on the discussion section here for problems you have with it. Chances are, there's either a solution, or a workaround for it. Don't let your "newbeeism" scare you away from this extension. Once you learn to configure and use it, I think you'll find your effort was well spent.

What a great add-on. Initially I had a refresh problem, and I wanted to change a default not normally accessible. Josef corresponded with me to tell me how to change the default, and several more times until I had the refresh problem solved. And it was not even his problem - it as my accelerator. What a dedicated man with a great product.
