Plus, I like the new foxkeh "mascot" image (he/she has a very "remember this or else" expression :D). I started using ReminderFox several years ago, but I've only used it off & on--some problems with custom sound files for alarms (and, to be honest, somewhat lacking in visual appeal--but Foxdie fixes that [even if it introduces some visual anomalies]). It feels a lot more "solid" now, with even more features. Thanks.
@Espyo (2010-12-15): did you check off the box for "Show alarm popup" when creating the reminder?

You did a great job with this extension. congratulations!
here is a list of improvements for the next version (with my basic english) :
--- this extension is getting heavy.
1Mo for a reminder is too much.normally it should be 350Ko and it's easy todo.
We dont need to load all the 2Mo languages. so language should be an option.
Network, Mail... should also be an option to load or not to load. many people dont need that.
--- this extension needs to be skinnable.
the same way we do for firefox with the file /profile/chrome/userChrome.css to override default settings of the appearence.
there are lot of designers on the web, you will be surprised how the look of your extension could become superb (rainlendar style for example).
with these 2 improvements, it would be certainly a five-stars addon. regards.

Using Firefox 4 Beta with ReminderFox syncing with Google Calendar I have some problems: Always when closing down the ReminderFox window I get a 'ReminderFox network error: null'-popup, which is quite annoying. Also, the syncing from Google Calendar to ReminderFox works just semi-decent. When adding an event in Google Calendar it shows up automatically in ReminderFox, but when removing an event from Google Calendar it doesn't get removed automatically from ReminderFox so I have to manually remove it from ReminderFox too. The syncing from ReminderFox to Google Calendar doesn't work at all so if I want to add an event I have to go to Google Calendar site and if I want to remove an event, as I said, I have to do it on both.

I really liked this add-on until I discovered that it interfered with some of Firefox's basic functionality.. I couldn't figure out why some of the links that I clicked that ran javascript pop-ups didn't work at the Fidelity web site and other locations until I tried disabling ReminderFox... suddenly all of the functionality started working just fine.
To the developer: If you ever get this to work and not interfere with FireFox, I would like to know because I really liked having the add-in. I just can't continue using it if it is going to cause FireFox to be flakey.
Hi David - we have not heard of this problem. ReminderFox does not add or modify any browser functionality, and does not do anything with links. (I use Fidelity's website as well). Is it possible that there was another cause or add-on conflict causing the issue? If you can email us directly (our emails are listed on the Developers page) I would like to help investigate the issue and see if we can find out what was going on.
Thanks
Tom

The developer is exactly right. I use my browser every day, even all day. I open my calendar application twice a month. Having my reminders and todo's attached to a toolbar in the browser is infinitely more functional. Great add on.

This is really stunning. I've just started using it as a shared list manager for me and my girlfriend to _collaboratively_ manage bills, tasks, and events, and to share ideas on things to do, movies to plan on watching, web pages to read, etc, etc. One day in and we're already loving it and benefiting from it a great deal.
We configured the extension in both our browsers to auto-synchronize to a shared webdav location, and since we both tend to have a browser open pretty much all day we see updates from each other in effectively real time. This is so effective that it has already replaced im, email, and phone for the various "don't forget" and "hey check this out" that come up throughout the day.
People try to sell me sometimes on the idea of using the whole "getting things done" magic fad to get on top of life stuff as well as work, and I looked into some tools for that, but for what we need this tool is like an antidote for all that -- simple, intuitive, effective and fun.
Forgive my glow, but I also must say, as a developer, I am very impressed by the elegance of the solution and the great effort and care that has obviously gone into this. Its a wonderful contribution to the community.
I've not got my wallet on me, but I've just added a reminder for us to donate in support of this fine work!
Thanks for your kind words! We appreciate the support. Some of the ideas that you mention around collaborative management are interesting. I think that is something that I might be interested in exploring more (the idea of a shared group calendar, and features around that).
I hope you continue to enjoy ReminderFox. Please feel free to shoot us an email with any questions or suggestions as you discover them. Thanks again.

I think this is one of the best Add-ons, now I'm constantly reminded of things I need to do and complete.
1 suggestion
I was wondering is it possible for me to change the colour of the “hover bubble/ tool tips” when you hover your mouse over an event? Currently the ‘bubble’ is green with white text but I’d prefer to change it to black with white text, if possible.
Maybe this could be an option for users so that they can customise the colour to better suite/ fit their colour scheme.

This is really very useful though I have encountered a problem: I cannot add more than 6 reminders; when the list already has 6 and I add another, it will disappear after I exit the program. Is there any way to solve this? I have already tried re-installing the add-on. Thank you!

Currently I use another product to get many of the functions that this add-on provides. The other software will even open a web page as part of the reminder, It also is free but without tags, categories etc etc. WOW! This is a fresh and power rich add-on. Want to know how I really feel about this product? Well I even donated so that should tell you something! Nice job!!

Great little prog, one of the few I keep and heartily recommend.
Bad memory? . . . who cares?
