Thanks

I was so excited, until I read the line:

"IE View is not available for MacOSX."

LOVE THIS! For some reason, I was not able to sign into my bank account on this PC with Firefox and had to go through IE. Now I just use IE Viewer! AAA

This is a really useful add-on. It makes it a lot easier to use Firefox as your primary browser but still use IE when a site doesn't support Firefox.

I always thought i would never need this add on as IE tab seemed more usefull. But the disadvantage with IE tab is that although it load the IE engine in firefox it doesn't load the actually plug-ins, such a real media player, for that you need IE it self.

I'll be using this program untill a comatible real media player plugin comes out.

I give this 5 stars as it doesn't clash with IE tab.

Good work.

Fantastic solution to the problem of people that insist on dwelling in the 20th century. Until the rest of the world catches up; there's IE View.

I'll be honest in that I normally use IE Tab when something refuses to display correctly in Firefox. But, sometimes, even that isn't good enough. IE View is an indispensable partner to IE Tab that gets you to such sites without fuss. The "always" feature is just splendid. Do yourself a favor and install this add-on -- sooner or later, you WILL need it!

I really like having Firefox handle nearly all my browser needs but some sites at work require IE (sharepoint, etc) and this add on solves that problem.

Very useful ! We have several "broken" internal sites at work that are now automatically opened in IE, makes my life much easier.

Sorry, but I don't like the approach of these latest versions at all. It used to be that when you wanted to view a page in Firefox as if you were using IE you would see the IE page in a tab within Firefox. You stayed within Firefox. Thus you could have a single browser with several different tabs; both Firefox styled pages and IE styled pages. By default now, the current approach is to simply open up the IE browser. How stupid! If I wanted that I could have done it myself. IE View used to be a very useful tool. Now I have had to toss it on the trash heap of history. Adious.

Tim - I think you're confusing IE View with IE Tab -- a different extension, based on IE View, that behaves in the way you're expecting. IE View has *always* launched IE View as a separate app.

Even though Firefox is #1, I love this add-on. It just proves that software companies don't need a monopoly in order to be no. 1.

Got updated to IE View 1.3.5.1 yesterday and I get an error everytime I launch IE from firefox - "TypeError: gIeViewBundle has no properties". After the error IE launches fine and there seems to be no other problems but the error message is annoying.

I've been happily using IE View for "centuries". I need it for quite a few sites, because they support only IE. Until today all was OK. Version 1.3.5.1 does not work. I had to revert to 1.3.5.
I wanted to confirm, so I re-loaded 1.3.5.1 - it did not work again (i.e. those sites marked as "IE sites" do not load in IE anymore). So I'm back to 1.3.5.

A great extension, been using it for quite a while in Firefox. A question for the author, would you be willing to make it available for the SeaMonkey SuiteRunner as well?
