This extension is usually a beauty, but it ain't workin after I upraged to FF 3.6! My menubar no longer hides- it's always visible.
Developer, please fix this bug- the 3.6 upgrade appears to have screwed it up for a lot of folks! : )

This has been one of my long-time add-ons, but after updating to v3.6.20100218 on Firefox v3.6 my menu bar stayed hidden. Luckily i found a work-around for this (which might hopefully work on Linux) which was by use of another add-on i regularly use, namely Toolbar Buttons 0.6.0.8 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2377 by adding the "Toggle menu bar" button temporarily to my visible toolbar (the button is near the very bottom). That button finally allowed me to see the menu bar again, and after re-enabling the Hide Menubar add-on all worked as before. =)

On Linux, I have the opposite problem. Hide menubar still will NOT hide my menubar. I have checked all about:config settings and they are the same as shown on the website and I've reinstalled the extension, but it still doesn't work :-(
This is a great extension, I hope a fix for linux happens soon. Thanks.

I have the same problem as VtheStick67. I upgraded to FF3.6 and my menu bar is gone. Did the restart in safe mode and reset settings and all that did was screw up all my settings. Still no menu bar. I've tried unstalling the extension as well. Looks like only thing I can do is waste the next 2 hours setting up a new profile. Won't ever touch this ext again.

The tweek needed for FF 3.6 is a bit confusing, but perfect otherwise!

Sure, FF 3.6 will natively hide the menu bar -- finally -- but that only works if your menu bar is the only item in the row. I personally use this addon to hide other things, such as rarely-used buttons belonging to other addons, in the row at the end of the menu, and this addon is still necessary for that purpose. Without it, placing any buttons next to the menu will cause the menu bar to be always visible, although the menu items themselves will be disabled if the option is unchecked. Thanks for a great, useful (if simple) addon and keeping it functional!

Thanks to the developer(s) for bringing this addon back to life. Even though the latest firefox has this function, it is great to just be able to hit ALT to see particular addon icons or access the menu bar quickly.
Thanks again, love this addon!!

Installed 3.6.20100218 in FF 3.6 and it still doesn't work, my menu bar is still there. I love this add-on. It's one of the all time best. I'll be glad when it's working again. Good luck with the FF3.6 challenges.
Oops-- It works in Thunderbird, just not Firefox

FF3.6 doesn't need "Hide Menubar" anymore, just right click on menu bar to hide it and press Alt to show it.
