Thank goodness 'Slideshow' addon is to be kept going, and thanks for the ability to rotate the image by clicking on it, if you don't use this addon your at a disadvantage, its very quick and handy to have, please keep it going and develop it even finer and further, well done guys. Thunderbird should come with it already built in.

@geon.cz : I've wrote an email to Aleks Totic and he has quickly replied. He'll normally add me as a developer so I'll put the new version here soon.

I'm sorry to read the report that the developer won't be updating Slideshow. If anyone else decides to develop it further, or make a similar add-on, then I suggest including the ability to rotate an image. Many of the images I receive need a 90 degree turn. But in every other way, it's a huge convenience being able to open an image in Thunderbird.

Seems to be working fine with Thunderbird 3.1 if you edit the maxversion value in install.rdf (inside .xpi file) before installing. The value I used: 4.0.*

Thunderbird 3.1 RC is out, can we get an upgrade? Also, PDF viewer would be wonderful if you could integrate it in.

This is a great application, but I would really love to see a pdf viewer in it. Also, RC 3.1. is out, can we get an upgrade for 3.1.? Is there a possibility to resize the window by the image, not to have the black background around?

It would be great to have a .doc and .pdf (such as pdf-mac-plugins) integrated.
Any hope to have extension in the extension ?

Works great with TB 3.0. Thank you.
However, an image rotation would be helpful (such as in windows picture viewer), since the primary use is for emailed photos.

Dobra robota... u mnie jedno z ważniejszych rozszerzeń w Thunderbirdzie. Po małej modyfikacji pliku install.rdf działa też z wersją 3.0.

To have it working with Thnuderbird 3+, edit the file slideshowski@totic.org/install.rdf
and replace
3.0pre
with
3.0.*

A handy, simple extension -- does one thing and does it well. Especially great for anyone using a lower-res display where the message pane doesn't get a lot of real estate!
I agree with others about the "Quit" button on the toolbar. I don't like it -- I never, ever would want to quit Thunderbird from the slideshow window, and the chance of accidentally clicking is too high considering its similarity to the close button immediately adjacent.
A preference to disable Quit would be nice, but as a workaround you can hide the button. Add the following to your profile's userChrome.css (mozilla.org's documentation has info on userChrome.css if you aren't familiar):
#button-exit.toolbarbutton-2 { display: none !important; }

I think this extension is great. The only thing that is keeping me from implementing it to the rest of the office is the "Quit thunderbird" button on the far right. Can this button be removed? I see no reason for this feature to be accessible from the slideshow window. People in the office would click it first every time instead of the close slideshow window.
