When I was not able to get Download Statues Bar 0.9.10 to work with Firefox 26 through 31 I found Download Statues Bar 12.2.0 which has most of the features that Download Statues Bar 0.9.10 does and it works with Firefox 26 through 31. I have a couple of reservations about Download Statues Bar 12.2.0.

(1) When I was downloading a file and it paused as a result of communication problem not as a result of me pausing it there was no way to resume like with Download Statues Bar 0.9.10. By the time that happened I was hundreds of pages away from the one I downloaded that file from and I was not able to get back to it.

(2) Download Statues Bar 0.9.10 has a context menu feature clear completed downloads or being able to right click on the file I want to clear. I have never used the clear feature on Download Statues Bar 12.2.0 because I am afraid it might clear a file that is not through downloading or any file.

Download Statues Bar among a short of extensions that is a deal breaker as it relates to my use of Firefox and takes presents over upgrading to a new version of Firefox. As far as I am concerned Firefox should obtain Download Statues Bar and Compact Classics and incorporate them into its browser among others.

O, now it is absolutely GREAT!!! Works now in Nightly 35a01 64 bit on Win7 64 bit. All options can be chosen and saved now. Great THANKS and RESPECT!!!

I cannot get this to work on Pale Moon 24.7.1 (x86) when on private browsing. When off of private, it works fine. Would like for it to work on private though.

Great addon!

One problem, though, as you can see from the title. When I press the shortcut, nothing happens. Please, help.

- Win XP, SP3
- FF 24.7.0 ESR
- DSB 10.6.0

EDIT: I've found the cause of the problem. It's a conflict with this addon:

You can change keyboard short-cut from "d" to another letter by modifying extensions.downloadbar.keyshortcut preference in about:config. After modifying please restart Firefox to make the changes take effect.

Awesome download bar. A must have. I have mine set to show as statusbar and i can customize colors and bar color. can browse and see downloads at the same time. Awesome =)

I've been using 'Download Status Bar' for years and it has just got better and more refined since I first started using it. It gives you a lot more information and options when downloading files - it's one of my all time favourites.

no doubt this plugin is very handy helps me a lot, I recommend everyone to use firefox, it had a bug in version 24, but now everything is fine!

Great add-on.

Please add single click option to open downloaded files.

Just to be clear. It would be great add single click option to launch downloaded files. I personally have my whole PC is set up for single click so it would be a welcomed option.

As reported in a May 22 post, I also experience the two buttons and status bar appearing even though no downloads had been active. Their appearance can be deleted by unchecking, then rechecking the hide button checkboxes, but the problem returns at random, often after a restart or installation of a new addon. Seems to be related to Firefox update to v.29 (Mac OS 10.6.8). For whatever reason, it seems that the addon prefs file can't always "hold onto" the checked hide buttons setting.

I reported the bug to the add-on developer but meanwhile I coded some fallback mechanism which can take action in such kind of unexpected situation. Could you install v9.3.3 and feedback please? After you install v9.9.3, "Restart" is "required" to clean up old UI details.

Great add-on, indispensable! One thing though, recently (a few weeks, maybe a month now) I assume from an update possibly, the status bar appears for no reason (I didn't do a download). It appears with the green arrow on the left side and broom on the right side but shows no downloads, it's set to close 10 secs. after all downloads are complete but it stays open, I have to close it with CTRL + ALT + D or by the mouse menu. Firefox 29.01 with Windows 7. Thanks for this add-on.
