GREAT!
Any chance we could have this work with the secure version (https://secure.wikimedia.org)?

Don't rate a plugin poorly because you don't like the site it leads to. Your poor review of this plugin was based on your assessment of Wikipedia itself.

I can't rate it as it won't allow me to install it. I get a message stating that I must use a firefox based browser to install plug ins.

Could it be configurable for languages, so that it goes to e.g. nl.wikipedia.org?

希望能看到中文wikipedia的检索功能也出现在这儿。

How could you live without this one? It's a close second in usage for me to the google search.

Great add-on!

Top-class tool! Thanks Y-A-L for the hack, except the file is named "wikipedia-en.xml" (en not eng - that took me a while!) - on Vista anyway. To find it you may have to check "include non-indexed, hidden and system files".

You can make language depended wiki-search with small "hack".
1. Locate "wikipedia-eng.xml" file in your system
2. Find your language Wiki domain base name - for example for English it would be en.wikipedia.org, for Russian - ru.wikipedia.org
3. Make renamed copy based on your wiki language prefix: For example wikipedia-ru.xml for Russian (ru)
4. Open it with any text editor.
5. Replace "Wikipedia (Eng)" token with any English text string - this string will be shown in list.
5. Replace "en.wikipedia.org" string with ".wikipedia.org" (f.e ru.wikipedia.org )
6. Save the file and restart FireFox
