Love it!
It really helps saves time of copy-pasting text/urls! I find myself sometimes doing the Quickdrag gestures on friends PC's that don't have it installed & getting frustrated when it doesn't work! I am so used to it I can't imagine copy-pasting words or links, these small mouse gestures make a world of a difference when you are in a rush & can't copy everything correctly-word by word!

This addon has improved my workflow dramatically. There are three things I do the most on a web-page that I visit: 1) Open links in a new tab; 2) Search for terms I have found in the text, and 3) Download Images.
With Quickdrag, I can do all three things just by dragging ANY link or text I find. I don't even have to drag it very far - just a bump is all that is needed.
Another way QuickDrag has helped me is this: I have always found it difficult to use the mouse wheel as a middle-click button (it makes the mouse move whilst I do it, and I don't like that). Now I don't need the middle-mouse click. Just a bump-drag, and its done.
Honestly, I have become so accustomed to using QuickDrag (over the last year) that when I switch browsers (gasp!) or use another person's computer, I find myself working the QuickDrag action over and over to no avail! So what do I do? I install it wherever I can.
Just so you know, for the sake of my review, I have no relation to the authour at all. I am a user like everyone else, but I'll say that I AM one of those folks who soup up their Firefox until it is a monster that will do nearly anything. QuickDrag will always be part of my arsenal.
Thank you, Stevie Smith!

A very useful time saving add-on. You don't need to right click on links any more. just drag it and it's done! though it doesn't work sometimes but It is what you need most of the time.

I love this add-on, but recently ads with audio started playing on YouTube. After much raging, I discovered QuickDrag is the culprit.
Dear QuickDrag Developer: Please make it transparent when your add-on displays ads. It will save users much anguish and you will have less kitten blood on your hands.
Yes, it's easy enough to disable marketing (that is the only reason I'm not swearing QuickDrag off forever). But it is evil to conceal the origin of the ads.
Otherwise, 5 stars. :(

I'm a longtime QuickDrag fan, and was sorry to have to downgrade to an older version.
For years I'd been able to block Google search ads. Then I upgraded to the latest version of QuickDrag (2.1.3.23), and suddenly my Google search results were covered in ads. Disabling QuickDrag's marketing option made no difference.
I've gone back to version 2.1.3.21, and am now ad-free.

Version 2.1.3.23 is adware. It has an option to turn it off but it's not sticky, the option is reset back to "Enable Marketing". This is very poor form on the part of the developer.

I too blame mozilla for their fault in pushing preliminary stage updates .
For this one single extension , I now have to untick "Update Addons Automatically" option found in
"Add-ons Manager . I do not blame "QuickDrag" addon developer , as i find previous version very useful

This was a brilliant firefox extension - sadly after the last upgrade flashed up a page stating that it was enabling marketing I uninstalled it. There's no indication as to what data is being captured and how - if the developer is strapped for cash I'd happily pay a dollar / euro / pound or two to keep using this.

Too bad!
New version includes
unauthorized Adware & Spyware...
This * was * an excellent FF extension.
But the author has gone "evil",
...see comments & warnings below this one.
How can the author be so dumb?
Oh well, UNinstall forever...3...2...1.
BTW:
I think Mozilla should urgently review
this ext. for SAFETY
and compliance with Mozilla guidelines.

Don't install it or upgrade!

I thought I would take a look inside the .xpi file before I updated to the new version. I'm glad I did. I found code that adds a sponsorship mechanism. A couple other things to note: New sponsorship version has not been fully reviewed by AMO, the previous version was. Also, this version has not even been marked compatible with Firefox 11. Those reasons alone should prevent users from upgrading to this bad version. Find the old version (2.1.3.21) here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/quickdrag/versions/2.1.3.21
