Excellent effort guys! Great extension that finally allows for using Microsoft Exchange with Thunderbird properly. However, I am still missing a feature that was already mentioned by other reviewers: the ability to see shared calendars of other users in my contacts. To be able to see when they are busy when scheduling a meeting is absolutely key feature. Is it really missing for now or am I missing something? For this I still need to use Outlook at the moment. Another wish feature would be to see the room list and its availability as well, though this is not as critical for me.

EDIT: Thank for your quick reply! You are right, free Free/Busy is indeed supported. All that was needed was a restart. I still didn't manage see the room list of my institution, but I'll investigate some more.

Thank you for the kind words.

If you just want to see when your participants of a meeting are free, you don't need shared calendars. Exchange has the Free/Busy feature which simply tells you whether that other person has a calendar entry at this time, or not, but not which appointment they have. Owl supports this Free/Busy feature. You can see it when you organize a meeting, after inviting participants to your meeting, and clicking on the button. You will see when each participant is free or busy. This normally even includes meeting rooms.

I hope this helps.

Does the job. However, it messes up the total number of unread messages, which is really annoying.

I am having some issues with Calendar support and not receiving any answers to emails sent to the support email address. While I am mostly satisfied with plug-in I can not purchase a license unless I know that support will be available. This is a shame because i would propose this olution to my company for all or Linux users.

Love this plugin - just works.
Just have 1 feature request - the ability to add multiple exchange accounts. I have mulitple O365 mail accounts but can't use for this AFAIK

Hey Mark,
thanks so much for your positive rating!

If your domain has the EWS protocol enabled (that's a decision by your domain's administrator, as it's configurable in Office365), you can add additional Office365 accounts in the Owl settings page, with the "Manually add account..." button. I hope this helps you.

If you have further questions, please write to owl.support@beonex.com. Please allow for a long answer time (easily 1-2 weeks), though.

The Owl for Exchange plugin works well and is a good solution for linux users to use Outlook Web Access (including Duo) with a familar linux email client (Thunderbird).

Software works well, but they screwed up on getting paid. The trial end notification has a button to purchase the software, but the button does work, so I can't purchase it. Rookie mistake.

If they add full calendar integration, to see shared calendars and the ability to add them through the directory this will get a 5 out of 5.

Was given an Exchange email address for university. Used Thunderbird for many years and did not want to have to start using another email client. Owl solved my problems and can now receive my uni email on PC and laptop. 10 Euro well spent. Splendid addon.

the effective functioning of the Send Later add-on would be very appreciated !!
Thank you very much for your very good add-on which allowed me to retrieve the Thunderbird interface after a few weeks of erratic work in the ugly Outlook universe.

Addon Exchange functionality works very well!

However, what does not work is specific filter. Filter which tags mails with predefined tag which have specific word in body of the mail.

When mails are accessed with this addon, Filter does not tag such mails. On the other hand, when same account is accessed via IMAP, tagging via Filters works flawlessly.

At this point this is only downside of this addon, and it stops me from purchasing it after 25 days of testing and usage.

@Developer,
can you have a look on that?

Excellent app for those of us stuck with Microsoft Exchange Outlook email. I had a small issue and Owl Support immediately responded with a fix. Highly recommended, and a bargain too!
