Data Collected By Clippings
Clippings collects text from the message compose window. The data collection occurs when you invoke the "New Clipping" context menu action from selected text.
Use of Your Data
The above data will be used by Clippings for the purpose of giving you the ability to paste it later into your email or newsgroup messages.

How Your Data Is Stored
The data that is saved by Clippings is stored in a database file located in your Thunderbird profile folder.
If you choose to turn on the Sync Clippings feature, the clippings that are saved under the "Synced Clippings" folder will be saved to a sync file (named "clippings-sync.json") on your system. The data in the sync file is only available to your devices where Thunderbird (or Firefox) and Clippings are installed, Sync Clippings is turned on in Clippings preferences, and the Sync Clippings Helper App is installed and running.
NOTE: If the sync file is stored in a folder on your system that is managed by a third-party file synchronization service, such as Dropbox, Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, the Sync Clippings data will be subjected to the Privacy Policy of the file sync service.
Your Rights
You can modify or delete your data at any time.
Your Clippings data can be modified or removed from Clippings Manager. All your Clippings data, except the synced data under the "Synced Clippings" folder, is removed when Clippings for Thunderbird is uninstalled. If you are using Sync Clippings, you can remove all your synced data from Clippings Manager, or by deleting the "clippings-sync.json" file on your devices.
