I like it because it is so economical with RAM and CPU.
1. Question: Does this Add-On also protect me from fingerprinting like "Privacy Badger" ? So is this Add-On also a good alternative for "Privacy Badger"?
2. Question: First you write: Quote: "just seven hard-coded blocking rules." But in the version history you write: Quote: " Updated blocking lists." This confuses me. Is there a blocking list or is there not a blocking list?

I'm amazed at how much more enjoyable my browsing experience has been since installing this add-in.

I was beginning to think that Firefox was just slow on android and that I'd have to use chrome! - but I replaced my heavy duty ad blockers with this and it seems much faster, thank u :) may
need updating for the latest version though (not sure as it seems to work...)

This is by far the most effective way to block adds from webpages. Tried verious addons, none compare to this and there's no messing around with settings.

I just love this addon! It does what it is supposed to do, and it is easy to use!
The only thing that I miss is a way to add exceptions.

This is without a doubt the best Firefox addon I've used in a while. Does a lot to protect the user against ads, trackers and malware domain and has virtually no impact on ressources and browser performance. I just wish the blocking lists were updated more often but hats off to the developper for creating such an amazing piece of extension. I can only hope he'll maintain it for a long time for the benefit of the community.

Using Firefox 39, this add-on is keeping me from switching back to my inbox in Yahoo mail from a full-screen e-mail. Put another way, if I double-click an e-mail to read it full-screen, clicking on "Inbox" from that e-mail does nothing. Clicking "Compose" has no effect either. I have to exit and log back in.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.5.1.1-signed).From a technical perspective, i think it's their web-mail what is doing something wrong, one thing you could try is to check it with the w3c validator (https://validator.w3.org/) - I.e: paste the Page Source there to see if it throws any error, that should bring some light on the matter.

Thanks for the adblocking and also antitracking. It's mind blowing how much tracking is done these days. BluHell Firewall does speed up browing the web.

Great addon. Just wish it had a white-list option. Won't let me play videos from my local news site without disabling it.

This doesn't seem to block video ads on youtube.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.5.1.1-signed).It does for me, and that's something the add-on always did in any case.
For example check the gangnam style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q19f0
That does show the advert for you? If it does, or it does it on any other video, could you please provide further details such as the video url, an screenshot and details about your browser and bluhell version? Thank you!

Tried all the bloatware ad-blockers and finally found Bluhell Firewall which is what so many of us have always wanted in an Ad-Blocker and we now have just what we need...
So fast and effective and just perfect...! Thanks !!!

1. When Firefox is first started on OS X, the Bluehell icon does not appear. If you close FF (red dot) and then reopen it, the icon appears.
2. If the icon is used to turn Bluhell off, and ff is then closed (red dot) and reopened, the Bluhell icon will always be blue, although Bluhell is actually still turned off. Clicking the icon twice will get it back in sync.
Once you learn these two tricks, the function works well, except on Yahoo webmail, as previously reported.
The 'support section' link just points to the add-on description; no method for reporting bugs is provided, other than within these reviews, where bug reports are discouraged.
BTW, the Contribution button didn't work for me; after clicking the "Make Contribution" on the popup window, the popup vanished and the FF window had a grey veil over it and ignored input.
Hello,
What Firefox version are you using? The first problem you describe looks like a known Firefox bug in older versions (Ie, pre-CustomizableUI era) but i only heard about that problem when upgrading Firefox, though.
as for issue 2, Bluhell doesn't remember the on/off state when shutting down Firefox, therefore it should always be turned on when starting the browser, which could indicate a minor incompatibility with the version you're using.
You can get in touch with me through dcasorran/at/gmail.com if you want to troubleshot these issues.
Btw, the contribution button issue is caused by having 3rd-part cookies blocked.
Cheers.

Use this on all my devices. Blocks pop-ups perfectly. Occasionally gets a warning wrong about a site, but other than that it works perfectly.

Almost perfect...
When using yahoo mail, it used to remove the ads great. Nowadays it removes too well, I can't navigate and upload files anymore!!

This addon broke several web pages - ended DIV's suddenly causing the rest of the page to be rendered improperly. Pages now changed so can't demo.
