Nice program. But the frequent updates are enough to drive me to uninstall it, especially since Download Helper does the job just as well.

Enough already with the updates!! I've stop installing them. I am sick of being prompted every week to update, and then being diverted to FlashGot's website when I log back on. For some reason this process turns off my colored tabs until I reload new ones. Not to mention, I haven't noticed a change in the software since I initially installed it.

There is nothing that this program does that requires updating every week. Or even every month for that matter. This is not a security program that requires constant updating. It finds media links on a page and downloads them. Extensions rarely change.

If there isn't a critical or substantial update, I don't want to be bothered. Flashgot should find another way to direct people to its website or to remain on the top of the Recently Updated or Most Downloaded lists.

Perfect (for me). I download a lot of files that aren't hyperlinked, just paths. I highlight and 'download selection' Bam!

FlashGot is great, I originally used it with FlashGet but I broke FlashGet somehow so now I use it with Free Download Manager.

Just the best download tool out there. Now with support for many redirection and link protection services it's unbeatable!

It is a needed addon, and does what it says. Only drawback is it seems like the author adds a new updates every week, which loads his home page. But for free extension we cannot complain.

Didn't get a single download to work. Crashes FF in no time.

There have been no other crash reports, so I tend to believe your problem is not FlashGot related.
Anyway, it would be more helpful if you reported on the Mozillazine forum thread ( http://flashgot.net/forum ) or directly to me by email, specifying what download manager you're using and on which pages your crashes happened. Whatever you write here (on AMO) is not notified to authors, hence it can be read only casually.
Thanks.

I was searching for a \"download selected links\" for Mac, I tried Linky but it didn\'t work... So I was happy to discover FlashGot can also use cURL (Mac OS X has cURL by default.)\r\nBut you won\'t get any info window while downloading, as that depends on which download manager you use.
Great! Thanks! :)

Notice that since 0.8.1 you can use FlashGot with the built in Firefox download manager as well :)

A very very good extension... but each time I update FlashGot (and there are often to do), when I restart FireFox, my opened tabs are thrown away, and a new tab pointing to FlashGot website is opened.
Author : can you change this, please (I'm starved of it :\ )
Thank you ;)

With it, Flashget(The best DL manager around, IMHO) integrates seamlessly. Perfect add-in for this purpose. I would give it a 10/10, but I don't think anything is perfect, so I never give 10/10's. Thanks for this add-in.

I've been using for a year and never have any major problem! Maybe coz I still using FlashGet and it work so well with it! The minor problem I have is not every website with anything that I want to download, can be used only with Flashgot! U need to have Downloadhelper add-on together becoz both work really well 2 each other (cover each other weakness). These combination are Flashgot+Flashget+Downloadhelper=Perfecto!

Installed it; worked with it for a while; uninstalled it.
- Too hard to work with;
- No clearly focused purpose;
- Too much bloat.

Here's a not to all extension developers. Have a clearly defined purpose for your tool - one that you can stated with a single short sentence, and design with that in mind.

Till yesterday, it was working fine. But today, when I tried to download something, the "Free Download Manager" window didn't come up (I am using this download manager with FlashGot). In the FlashGot's options, I can properly see that "Free Download Manager" is specified as the Download Manager. In the FlashGot, the option "Autostart downloads" is also selected. Any idea, why its not working? Further, if I separately try to use Free Download Manager as a stand alone application, then its working, only from Firefox, its not coming up.
