Sorry, just far too complicated! It's probably as said in the help: once you "get" it you can't live without it but I'm just not prepared to study a whole manual in order to be able to use just one add-on. Good idea, though, and after some tweaks to usability I'll surely reconsider.

This is one add-on that I use everyday. Each website login has a unique password without having to remember them or store them anywhere. The advanced features are a bit cryptic, however the basic functionality works flawlessly. Some websites do not allow special characters such as $,@,&,^, etc. but they are far and few in between. Great product!

It is extremely useful... I use it for all the web sites that require passwords.

I always use this on all of the websites I can sans email accounts. I recommend keeping all the passwords you make in a text document and print it out. My hard drive recently crashed and I lost everything.
In response to Bill B: you can change which characters password maker uses to generate its passwords in the settings area.

The application is very good and easy to use, however:
1) It would be helpful to have some options when it comes to generating the passwords, e.g. length and character sets that can be selected and unselected depending on the required password.
2) The ability to make the passwords transportable via USB Key etc so that you can log into online accounts when not on your own PC.
If you looked at integrating it with SecureLogin Addon then it would be all you ever need, hopefully you can talk to the dev of Secure Login addon and co-develop/amalgamate the two addons into one almighty password/login tool.

I got my software engineer sister to help me with this, and I think I got it working....but it uses "generated" characters 90+ % of sights don't allow you to use in passwords....which makes it useless?

Passwordmaker is much better than roboform. You can use online version on other computer. It doesn't save anything, so you don't have worry anything saved password. It's so cool!

I think this is an awesome program but i have a recommendation which i would like to see put in:
Some sites won't accept '`!~?/ etc and i know that you can get past this by making a new account and put the settings to abc but creating an exception list in the account you already have would be nice. e.g. example.com may only generate abc passwords.

Gotta try it to believe! Strong passwords at all my sites now: 1 click brings it up, enter my master password (which I can change if warranted), click to copy site password to clipboard, then paste into the site. Configurable for unusual site requirements. This has improved my account security across the board!

Took a few minutes to figure out, but once I did....WOW. This works great. Super secure passwords on the fly without having to store them anywhere. My new favorite extension.

For anyone who manages lots of online accounts and cares about security, this is hands down the best extension you can ever learn how to use.
It does have a small learning curve, but it is well worth it.
Ops: you can create your own custom character set, or edit one of the existing ones... and if you care about security, you shouldn't share your user account with anyone else anyway... and having an encrypted settings file is high on the Feature Request list.

Pros:its great tool. No need to mention.
cons: Account setting is displayed and editable to everyone. If multiple users use a computer and somebody changes the account setting, the generated password changes.if you don't have backup of your setting you can be lost.If the setting is displayed only after master password and is unique to every user depending on master password it would be more useful in multi users setting. In option of character "lower case + upper case + number" is missing. Some website does not allow special character but ask for the above combination. The Above character set is available in online version though.

This addon creates the ability for a simple master password that through a number of cryptographic iterations , creates an uncrackable password.
The genuis is that once set up you only then have to type in a simple phrase to password maker once and it does the rest and when configured will load the login names and passwords in the boxes! Each password for a sight being unique to that sight through the use of the sights url in the password creation , Brilliant.
